I purchased this DVD for my Kindergarten class during our Dr. Seuss celebration week. The children really enjoyed the video of The Lorax. However, they lost interest in the second title Pontefello Pock and His Magic Piano. It is worth buying just for the Lorax!
Well be honest with you I had already seen the movie and you know where? At the Government class at college!!! Well it is an odd place to watch a cartoon dont you think so?! Well I was lucky to have a special instructor who cared enough to teach us life not the book to pass and just earn a grade. That's how I knew the concept of the movie and right away bought it and shared it with my family and friends. Allow me to tell you that we are all memebers of a huge family living on our beloved planet Earth and we are all participating in killing our home without knowing it. Just watch how much garbage you have made every for pick up day everytime your neighbourhood trash company shows up! Believe me when we are aware we are gonna get surprise of what we are doing and who is going to pay for that? Guess who? Our poor children and their children. When there is no more clean air to breath, no clean water to drink and no more clean place to step on!!! So do something and share what you know with other ones and do your best a little everyday to make less mess to our environment and be proactive and fight with those who dont care. Thanks
The original version of Dr Seuss' "The Lorax" How can you go wrong with such a classic? I remember watching this movie as a child and now I will be able to show it to my children and grandchildren.
I bought this to be a part of a high school Earth Science unit on "Systems Thinking" as applied to resources and the environment. I like this movie a lot, because it start kids out at a young age with a simple understanding of the environment and our obligation to it. It is entertaining, fun, and educational - it's Dr. Seuss, what's not to like about it?
I loved it as a child, my teenager loved it as a child, and now my two year old twins love it too! Had to buy a new one because our 15 year old one finally crapped out! Will forever buy more Dr. Seuss as long as I have little ones around to share them with. He was so good with children and so good at keeping them interesed!
