Great visuals, tough levels.

Very fun game with lots of surprises around every turn. I'm a 20-something gamer and honestly, this game was tough. I'd spend an hour or two going back over each level trying to finish. Of course they do offer you a cheat- by means of the Super Guide who will do the entire level for you once you die X amount of times. I won't lie, I sometimes was so frustrated I took the offer. That said, the graphics are awesome and there are many levels to play and choose from, so you can easily see why this game is so expensive and has said as such for quite some time now. I don't see myself playing through once I beat it though.

DK war is hell!!

Since most games are crap, A good game only comes out once in a while. I am an older fella and have fond boyhood memories of sitting in my underwear, playing nes at 5am. Games like spyhunter drove me nuts, I would be ruled by the game. The difficulty was so extreme and I can say that about most nes and snes games. Well, Donkey Kong country returns is a flash into the past. At first I was all excited about the 2d action and the game being fun from the get go. It wasn't long into the game that I was being owned by it. Towards the end of the game I had to give 100% full concentration to my efforts. It had become war and now the game was not fun or pleasant any longer. Now, it was a full out challenge that had me pissed off to say the least. If you played the new super mario bros. you know that game had some good challenge but this game is about 500 times more difficult. Retro studios wasn't trying to make any friends with this one. If you are a fan of donkey kong for snes and you like a game to be so hard it makes you want to rip your hair out? this is one to buy. I never mentioned that I haven't even got all the kong letters and all the puzzle pieces. I will give it a go but to who ever has... kudos to you.

Challenging platformer game that will occupy you for hours!

Donkey Kong Country Returns is a challenging platformer. Players with just average skills like myself will undoubtedly spend many hours trying to beat this game--on some levels, it literally took me dozens of tries to make it through. But here's the great part: you'll have lots of fun throughout those many hours. Top-notch visuals, creative levels, memorable music, smooth controls... you name it. This is a wonderful game all around.

And for expert gamers who want a bit more challenge, there's much more to the game than merely making it to the finish line. Even the best players will take many tries to collect all the KONG letters and puzzle pieces, not to mention beat the insanely tough (but thankfully optional) temple levels.

An amazingggg challenge!!!!

This game of the Donkey Kong Country series brings back all the amazing features from the original Donkey Country series in the SNES into the great gaming experience of the Nintendo Wii. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME!!! I could rate it way MORE then 5 STARS!!! It has a STRONG storyline that you must see to believe! The game has exceptionally excellent graphics especially with the use of an HDTV. The graphics are stunning and lifelike, it will take your breath away!!! The challenge is the next best thing about the game. It takes lot's of timing, and plenty of courage to complete all the tasks. It's countless hours of fun and one unique gaming experience. As an added feature, DKCR has added Co-Play that you can play with a friend, and help further achieve the goals and tackling the harder parts of the game. I highly recommend this game to the even most hardcore players out there!!! It's a very completely challenging game that you MUST have in your Nintendo Wii collection!!! You won't be disappointed! I'm looking forward to a great challenge, I will definitely look into getting DKCR2 if it comes on the market!!!
