| The video game Donkey Kong produced for Game Boy Advance (GBA) is all about recovering DK’s stolen banana hoard by the Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong from the evil Kremling and their minions of mindless lackeys. For achieving this, you will have to travel through six spectacular worlds filled with trouble. Both the Kongs have to run, jump, swim, and roll along the dangerous challenges set in their way. At the end of each world, DK and Diddy win against bosses like beavers, bumble bees, vultures, and many more. At the final stage, DK and Diddy have to come out victoriously to win the game against the Kremling army and their King K.Rool. | |

This was one of my favorite games of all time back when SNES was the best you could do, as far as platforms. The gameplay, the challenge, the music (ESPECIALLY the music), the graphics, everything about this game was great! And of course there was a bit of sentimental value attached as well, as this was the only game i had for quite a while!
However, for years after that the only way i could play it again was to either buy an SNES system (mine had eventually broke), buy the game again (it is now quite rare on the SNES, which is now considered an ancient relic--and someone had stolen my original copy) and play it that way, or to download an SNES emulator for my desktop and download the DKC2 rom to play it, and of course rules and regulations only permit you to have these roms on your cpu for a certain amount of time (usually 24hrs)--thus i could never fully enjoy it all again.
Then it came out for GBA!!! I promptly went out and got mine and relived all my past glory. The GBA version even has added features, which i think was a nice touch.
I recommend this game to all PURE and "old-school" gameplayers (i say pure as nowadays games generally are only considered as good as their graphics are, and the 32-bit SNES graphics here may scare many "UN-PURE" gamers away).
I hope this review was helpful! Have fun!
This game is just as good as the original, if not better! Dixie adds the ability to float with her crazy hair and Diddy is still as nimble as ever. However, without Donkey Kong's weight, you wont be taking those big enemies down by jumping on them anymore. AWESOME TITLE!
I first played this back in the mid 1990's. I grew up with the SNES along with my brother. We had hours and hours into this game and I just reciently just picked up this title again. The gameplay is as crisp as ever. The storyline is the same as before, where King K Rool gets Donkey Kong and Diddy and Dixie must save him. Cranky Kong makes a great return along with Funky Kong. Funky now offers new missions and minigames to do along side collect the DK hero coins. There are more things to collect and anyone who has ever played this will love to see the animals return by your side. This game is great, worth every penny!
In this remake of Donkey Kong Country 2 (Diddy Kong's Quest subtitle dropped), is a portable version of the SNES hit gameback in the early 90's. Many new things added in this game, such as the espresso racing, bag a bug, and the new boss Kerozene at K. Rool Keep...countless features to behold, even the world map is remodeled like real life style! A 5/5 rating!
This game is really fun, Its kinda like original except youre diddy but you still have the same movements. I would recommend this to any fan of the dk series
