Pretty decent interface for a home studio setup. Specially for those running on a low budget under $200. If you don't need two mics simultaneously nor midi capability just go with the new Mbox 3 Mini. The new one can be found for the same $200 and has better preamps and far superior converters. Avid has made significant improvements on their Mbox series. Worth every penny and on the same or better league as the Apogee stuff.

) Excellent piece of equipment for recording.Much better than the Mbox. Has more and better features.I bought this product because my original Mbox quit after so many years.

i like how easy it is to use it its a great addition to my recording studio. i love how easy pro tools is with this item on it. also the speakers sound much better with this mbox.. im very happy with my purchase.

THE REVIEW BY J-BAKE IS SKEWED AND UNRELIABLE. 1ST THE MBOX HE HAS IS THE SECOND GENERATION MINI MBOX, I WAS THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND BEEN IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FOR OVER 15 YEARS. HE CALLED ME AND ASK ME SOO MANY NOOB QUESTIONS. BUT I HAVE VIDEO AND PICS OF THIS PRODUCT WORKING TO THE FULLEST, INCLUDING THE HEADPHONES, ALSO I LOVE THIS PRODUCT WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT THE 3RD GENERATION MBOX PRO FIREWIRE ADDICTION !!! FOR THE MONEY THE MBOX MINI AND PROTOOL SOFTWARE IS GREAT IF YOU ARE NOT A ROOKIE, IF YOU ARE A ROOKIE THEN I SUGGEST READING UP UP ON DIFFERENT SOUNDCARDS AND POSSIBLY STARTING WITH A MORE STRAIGHT FORWORD PROGRAM LIKE GARAGEBAND TO GET A FEEL FOR RECORDING AND THE BASICS. IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE DONT BUY A FERRARI, DONT EVEN BUY A BMW, START OFF WITH SOMETHING SIMPLE, MAYBE YOU NEED A FORD TAURUS AND THEN STEP UP TO THE BIG LEAGUE WHEN YOU KNOW HOW TO PUT A CAR IN DRIVE ROOKIE LOL
