Diary of a Wimpy Kid stars Zachary Gordon as Greg Heffley and is based on the popular book by Jeff Kinney. In this movie, Greg is headed off to middle school for his first year and has big plans and expectations, only he finds out quickly that life does not always allow your plans to happen the way you want them to. The Diary is all about the trials and tribulations that Greg faces as he lives out that first year in the middle school.
The movie is based for a pre-teen audience and it would appeal to any boy between the ages of 7 to 11. Older boys may find it somewhat entertaining.
This is a good movie for a parent to sit and enjoy with a child.
I bought this DVD for my nephew who is a "Wimpy Kid" fan. Great movie for the whole family! It brings me back to the "Wonder Years" with the narration. Its always great to find movies that are enjoyable for all ages and tell a story of good morale. It teaches and entertains.
Loved this movie. The perfect gift to encourage a young boy between 7-9 years old to begin reading the series which is always sold at the school book fairs. Once addicted, they can't get enough of this series and the movie is a perfect start. It is also great for those who already read the books. It really brings the characters to life and is funny. Good entertainment. No regrets.
I like that its funny and its a good story line
there were a couple of places he said something I wouldnt incourage a child to say but it wasnt cussing it wasnt that bad but I just wouldnt encourage a kid to say that other than that good movie
My son LOVES Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. He received the movie as a gift and I figured why not, and I watched it with him. I LOVED this movie. It's heart warming, laugh out loud funny, and has classic little boy humor. It's a story about a boy almost very young man can relate too, he's awkward and just trying too survive middle school. This movie will become the movie my son grows up to share with his kids, like Little Giants was for me.
