Literally the best movie ever made. If you disagree, then you are wrong.

Demolition Man features an all star cast (Stallone, Bullock, Snipes, Leary, etc...). They couldn't have done a better job with the casting on this movie.
It is set in the future, the year 2032, in an insane world where nothing ever happens, there is no crime, and everything that is even mildly dangerous is illegal, including red meat, swearing, and sex, the worst crime that the police must deal with is graffiti, which is handled by automated systems anyway. That is until a maniac escapes from the cryo-prison and starts terrorizing the city, and the police are powerless to stop him, so the release a 20th century cop from the cryo-prison to catch him, John Spartan, the Demolition Man.

The best movie ever created, I watch this movie religiously, at least 3 times a month, that's how good it is. I own the VHS (Sealed), 5 copies on DVD, 4 of which are sealed, 1 sealed Laser Disc, and 1 Blu-Ray. I keep the VHS and a sealed DVD in a fire safe, just in case; the laser disc is framed and on display.
Now, there are two versions of this movie, the Taco Bell version, and the Pizza Hut version; The Taco Bell version is the original, and far better, however, everyone should see the Pizza Hut version at least once. At the time of this writing, only the Pizza Hut version is available on blu-ray. The Taco Bell version will be released on Blu-Ray in the USA on October 14th 2011. On that date, I will buy it again, maybe 2 copies so I can keep one in my fire safe. Although, I should also have a Pizza Hut version in there too...
Remember, all blu-rays are the Pizza Hut version until October.
I recommend that all human beings purchase this movie immediately! Don't ask me if you can't find any, mine are not for sale.

very good flick

I saw this movie years ago and bought the dvd, my wife then watched it for the first time and has watched it several hundred times since. The first copy got played until it could no longer function properly, so this is our second copy.
Snipes is fantastic as the evil Simon Phoenix and an unknown Sandra Bullock is ravishing as Huxley.

My favorite Stallone film!

Stallone and Snipes are great as John Spartan and Simon Phoenix. They provide some of funniest, most action packed sequences in any action film ever made.

The supporting cast is great as well, Sandra Bullock, Benjamin Bratt, Denis Leary, Rob Schneider, and even Jack Black.

Demolition Man (DVD, 1997)

Classic Stallone movie. Wesley Snipes was a great villain as "Simon Phoenix". If you do not own this DVD get it. The DVD is a great blend of action and comedy.

based on the future, a policeman and really bad guy are frozen. no bars in the future.
they end up unfrozen and resume their lives after the 'big one'
a fun movie lots of things blown up, misconceptions of what it was like 'back in the 20th' no t.p just 3 sea shells. cars that can drive themselves.police that don't know what murder is.
it gives you a chance to see what it could be like if choice is removed from your life. not 1984.
