Dell Latitude D520 Laptop/Notebook

I love just about everything about this used D520 laptop: the price first, how it looks (no scratches, no dings...) It is a great secondary computer, with all the features that are necessary to browse the internet, do office tasks and watch DVDs. I also use it to learn Saxophone and have many written and audio lessons loaded on it. I can take it anywhere I want. It came with built-in WiFi. The battery hold its charge incredibly long (at least 2.5 hours) for a used laptop, just like the previous Dell I bought from the same seller, 2 years ago (D610) which is still working great! I really recommend these used/refurbished laptops

We love the Dell Latitude D520 laptop. We already owned one and purchased another for our son. Great for the game playing he likes to do online. Perfect amount of features for just about anything you need to do.

These are fairly solid units and were very popular in the corporate world when first released to the market. They can take some abuse and continue to function! The D520 unit with processor M to T2300, T5500, T7500 etc are not lighting fast obviously since these processors are outdated, however they are tolerable. Todays web pages (2011) load ok with very busy pages taking at times up to 7-8 seconds to load. Over all very functional unit, keyboard has great touch. Draw backs on unit are that the ram chips get very, very, hot and may need to be replaced. Also, the processor cooling fan air in-take is on the bottom of the unit which mean using the computer on your lap or leaving on a soft surface like a bed will over heat the unit. Is best used on a hard surface like a desk or table. Battery life is short about 3 hours on a full charge. This is mostly due to a smaller battery which on the positive side keeps the over all units weight on the lighter side, a big plus for those carting or traveling alot with laptops. Foe extended use keep the charger handy.

I am very impressed with this laptop. Its performance is excellent. It was ready for use right out of the box. There were no cosmetic damage at all. It looked brand new. It transitioned with ease and speed was right on point.
