Pleasing

I may feel that "excellent" is a little exaggerative a description for these speakers, and to say that they're great for what they are or what the range of price is is nice and well but seems to demean any real QUALITY of the thing; they are good speakers, even though in great advantage, you can find them Quite cheaply. I purchased my more recent set, it being my second, for $25 from an electronics distributor in I believe Huston, and the sub-woofer, along with the clear flooding sound, even more miraculously from simply two small satellite computer speakers, is incredible. They can go quite high, very loud, very rich, very powerful; the bass is Very pleasing, and I've had friends who've purchased surround sound sets only to be disappointed and envious of my own, and shocked at the occurrence. All videos I play via my computer, all music which I keep stored upon and primarily listened through my PC, including my higher end Free Lossless Codecs and SACD online purchased (seeing as you cannot burn an SACD CD, the quality and production being so high and difficult) are given a testament to their quality. Truly these are not disappointing, and they are a nice balance of a nice, powerful audio delivery system, without becoming overly involved or lending too much consideration or money to something which is simply meant to be your computer speakers. They're capable or making a wide of variety of people content.

Great 2.1 Speakers

Dell HK395 2 Speakers are the way to go. I have one set of these in the bedroom and now I have a set for the Computer Room. The sound on these is Very Good! For the price, you just can't go wrong. I don't get excited on every product, but this one is a winner. Bass is more than adequate. Midrange and highs get a good rating. Overall sound for viewing a movie, just short of excellent. Lastly, I have a set of Altec 2.1s in the Media Room.
Comparison: The Dell system is easier to use, having real knobs to adjust with. The Altec knob is smooth and stubby, making it difficult to adjust.
Sound on the Dell sytem is truer, without the grainy highs of the Altecs.

Dell HK395 Computer Speakers 2.1

Great 2.1 system for the price. Very decent bass and clear sound.You would probably have to spend 3-5 times more than current prices to make a big improvement in performance.

I had purchased this set originally from a thrift store, the set being heavily used I was inspired to find the same set but brand new. These speakers are amazing, you have to be careful not to over power them though. Surprising sound for such a small package

For the price, these speakers sound great. Ive owned the same set before and after many years of use and a new upgraded computer, I shopped around for new speakers because my current setup did not include any. The old volume control was shorting out and after many moves the wires were causing them to cut on and off. So after 7 years of use I ultimately decide to go online and purchase the same set. I just set them up and I'm happy as I was when I first heard them. I do not think you will go wrong with these.
