Death Note

This is the second box set in the Death Note collection. I like buying the sets because they are cheeper than buying each individual volume, plus the sets come loaded with extras. The storyline is a great detective story and placed into anime makes it even better. Anime/manga fans will be impressed with this series:)

A really good second half of a great series.

If I had to choose, I'd say that the first half of the series is probably my favorite. In this second half there are a lot more character's deaths that were, to me, unexpected. Also, I was very sad to see L go. He was such a great character. That being said, I still think that the Death Note anime is well worth watching all the way through, and that the second half is just as well done as the first half is. The voice acting is still superb, and the animation and music are dramatic and fitting.
Compared to the manga, the second half of the anime has more changes then the first half did. They rearranged some events, but the major events are all still in place, and the changes probably aren't noticeable unless you've read the manga.
Things seem to get more serious and grim in this second half, which is only to be expected. After all, this is the end of a pretty serious investigation story.
To conclude, this is still one of my all-time favorite animes, right up to the end. The story, the voice acting, the animation, and the music. This is one of the most skillfully done animes I've ever seen.

One of the best anime series ever!!

This series is one of the best anime series I have ever watched, it takes a turn and gets a bit silly in the middle but it has a great ending. Its not for people who are expecting a lot of action or mechs fighting but there is plenty to keep you wanting more. This is actually the second time im buying this cause it was such a hot item for people to borrow from my collection that it eventually got lost. I would highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates good and thoughtful storytelling

Deathnote DVD set

I purchased this dvd set for my 12 year old daughter who has really liked the Deathnote series. She loves Anime and has enjoyed all their series.

Season 2 Death Note (Episodes 21+)

Awsome series
Anime at it's best, there is a reason that this series was a big hit...the story is well done & the characters draw you in.
What happens when a intelligent person gets the power to control the death of others...Megalomania.
You will find yourself at times cheering for the villian (if you want to call him that) & other times disgusted & repulsed by him.
Won't say much more then that, GET this series, you won't regret it !! ;)
Soundtrack by Maximum the Hormone is also awsome.
