ok, so again, this book IS VERY SLOW TO START,
i mean kiss of the highlander ends with you thinking all is ok,
only to find out that degeus messed things up and when he went back in time to fix it, he cursed himself...........
once the characters get their act together and figure out what they need to do, it becomes a very interesting book, oh and adam from previous books makes an appearance............
OH MY!!! Ancient Magic; time travel; breathtaking Highlanders that dreams are made of...Passionate storytelling... There are 7 books I think in this series..
If you have read KISS OF THE HIGHLANDER... You gotta read THE DARK HIGHLANDER... In the KISS OF THE HIGHLANDER the reader is introduced to the MacKeltar Clan. There are twin brothers, Drustan and Dageus.. 1ST book is Drustan's story and Dageus in an act of unselfish love to save his brother's life, condemns his own soul.
The Dark Highlander is Dageus Story.. His attempt to find a way to release himself from the evil he has been battling within himself. And of all the times to finally meet his lifemate..
The Dark Highlander was a pretty smokin' hot book, full of sexual heat and attraction, druid magic, time travel, intrigue, and forbidden love. The smokin' hot leading man needs the help of sweet but strong leading lady to save his soul from evil and the sparks start flying. But wait! That's not all! There is actually a PLOT and a great story here - amazing with some romances, I know. The Dark Highlander is also part of Karen Marie Moning's highlander series but is also a stand alone book. Trust me, this is a great read and I don't say that lightly.
This has been my favorite in the Highlander series. Immortal Highlander runs a close second! I know this genre is very popular at the moment,but I still find Moning's books to be highly original. I also like the way she gives us a peek at past characters. If you enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyon you'll love Karen Marie Moning!!
I peraonally loved this story of Dagus MacKeltar, and Chloe Zanders. Dagus is a 16th century Scot, trapped between two worlds, and Chloe is a present day student of antiquities that becomes drawn into his world. The passion between these two, and the magic and dark seduction of evil spirits that threaten their lives, make this an excellent read.
