Christine Freehan's books take you to another place. In this series, the Carpathian men are every woman's dream come true. The book just draws you in and you can't wait to finish it and the next one in the series. I bought this book because it was one of the few I did not have in this series and I want to complete the set.
I am a true fan of christine Feehans writing I find her style easy and excitng to read.I have always loved the idea of other species. And boy these men can let you dream. In this book Lucian and Jaxon weave a wonderful and exceiting story the fear of she stepfather showing up the loss of her Family the fear that if she showes affection for anyone that her stepfather will attach. I enjoy the love scenes the romance that the couple fell for each other and the fact that their love is forever. I find my self laughing out or crying I so enjoy the emotions these storys give once you pick one up you will not put it down. I have sence gotten hooked on her other books. the only bad thing that I have to say is she just does not write fast enough.
I read the first book in the Dark Series, Dark Prince, and loved it. Christine is a wonderful and very informed writer on her topics. So, I decided to try to get the rest of the series. They are all so wonderful that since I have gotten the rest, I have been averaging about 2 books per week. I am working my way through the entire series from Dark Prince to Dark Celebration and waiting anxiously for her next book to come out.
Any one who loves romance books with lots of history, lore and steamy, passionate romance needs to read this entire series. You will be as hooked as I am. You should also check out her website: ChristineFeehan.com/DarkSeries...lots of great info there as well.
For anyone who likes paranormal romance I strongly recommend the entire "Dark" series. All of the series tie into one another and the writing is great. Feehan has a way of drawing you in and keeping you involved.
Gabriel and Lucian have the funnest dynamic between them. You gotta love the twins. And Jaxxon, WoW! She's my hero. Who would have thought that a Carpathian male, let alone the oldest known living Carpathian male, would ever allow their lifemate to participate in battle. I love this series. Definately a must read.
