Product Information
Konami's genre-founding rhythm game series re-turns to Wii with 2010's simply titled Dance Dance Revolution. For the complete experience, the game is best played with a "dance pad" floor controller. The Wii edition of the game also uses the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, for whole-body motion control, and supports the Wii Balance Board, as well. Following a scrolling sequence of arrows that direct them how to move their feet and hands, DDR players swing their arms and step to the beats of a diverse selection of popular songs, including "Bad Romance by Lady Gaga, "Love Shack" by the B-52's, Train's "Hey, Soul Sister," and Sister Sledge's "We Are Family. The soundtrack also includes a number of original songs from Konami studios. The game features a "Choreograph Style" mode, in which players match the movements of an on-screen model, as well as sans-dance pad multiplayer modes, for up to four using Wii Remotes.

A solid game the whole family can enjoy.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I got this game thinking the wii remote & nunchuck control would add to it. To be honest, I prefer the classic 'mat only' style (we also have a couple of cheap dance mats that don't allow the wiimote to be used anyway). The game is fun, gets you moving, and it's a big plus to have multiple players. It's a nice departure from the couch surfing style of video game play, that's for sure.

The 'DDR school' mode is a nice feature, as it takes you through a few stages and teaches you the basics. There are a variety of skill levels too, from pathetically easy to ridiculously hard.

I like how the dance mat keeps you moving!

For me the best way to keep fit is to keep moving, but I have a problem with boredom. I have enjoyed using other Wii activity-style programs and still swap around, but this is the first using the Dance Mat.

I am still working my way through the DDR School (tutorial) and am on Lesson 6 out of 11. The progression is logical and fun, and challenging enough that I am not going to "outgrow" it too quickly, but not get frustrated quickly either.

I an looking forward to finishing the tutorials, and moving on the the "workout mode" section. More on that when I get that far.

One of the things I like best about the Dance Mat interface for is, you HAVE to move your feet ... at tempo ... if you want to register a score.

I also found the display showing the upcoming moves well laid out ... at least for the tutorial. I have yet to see something with no pauses in it yet.

Fun, but need to be able to concentrate or a younger person.

No, I would not recommend this product.

I bought this product to get up off the couch and get some exercise.
I don't like that it is too fast for the beat of the music. I have trouble keeping up with it.
It is fun and does have a variety of music. Maybe I just need to practice more.
Overall it is fun and a good way to exercise. Just need to pick slower songs or use the practice part of it more.

    Not Much Get-Up and Go

No, I would not recommend this product.

Bought this for a fun cardio-type workout. Didn't happen. It doesn't really teach moves to get you moving, mostly just remote movement. It did have some good songs. The mat that came with mine did not work properly. The right arrow did not respond when you stepped on it. Wasn't impressed and ended up trading it in for a different game.

love it but hate the mat

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

THIS GAME IS SO MUCH FUN AND A BLAST WHEN YOU HAVE GUESTS OVER BUT I HATE THE MAT.NO MATTER WHERE YOU PUT IT IT WILL ALWAYS SLIDE AROUND AND YOU CONSTANTLY HAVE TO PUT IT BACK IN PLACE.THE GAME PLAY IS THE SAME AS ALL THE OTHER VERSIONS SO NOT REALLY ANYTHING NEW.
