Movie synopsis
Set on Mars in the year 2071, COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE is based on the much-loved animated television series by Japanese director Shinichiro Watanabe. (The show airs on the Cartoon Network in the U.S.) As the film begins, Spike (Steven Jay Blum) and his gang of gypsy vigilantes are roaming the city, looking for trouble when Faye (Wendee Lee) witnesses a bioterrorist attack. Hovering above the city in her spaceship, she sees a man fleeing the scene. Over 500 people die in the attack, and the city offers a monetary reward for any information. The gang jumps at the opportunity. They decide to branch out, each using their own tactics to research the tragedy. Spike slinks through Chinatown, being led by shady underground characters. Faye traces the image of the man she saw back to military files. And the young Ed (Mellisa Fahn) and her dog Ein do some handy computer research. Meanwhile Jet (Beau Billinglsea), holds down the fort, worried about the gang. When the criminal Vincent (Daran Norris), is identified, with a connection to Spike's love interest Elektra (Jennifer Hale), the real action begins. COWBOY BEBOP is a visually dramatic film that combines several styles of illustration into one beautiful, cohesive animated environment. The Mars of this film is a combination of cities: New York, Hong Kong, London, Paris, and many more. Viewers are compelled to identify monuments and familiar structures, while the terrorist theme hits fearfully close to home.

Let There Be Jazz!

Review For: Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (DVD, 2003, Special Edition)

I've been a fan of the Cowboy Bebop series for quite a long time. I've seen all the episodes, fan art, and bonus videos up until this movie, and I have to say I was quite impressed. The art and special effects, as well as the english and japanese voice acting, were phenomenal. The storyline was top of the line, right down Shinichiro Watanabe's alley, really showing what it means to Bebop. And of course, we can't forget the music. The score for this movie sticks like glue to the jazz/blues style, yet still hip enough to allow just about anyone to pick up the soundtrack and rock out. I would definitly reccomend this film to anyone, anime fan or not, as a top of the list pick for great sci-fi/action flicks. So long, cowboy...

Anime movie with real kick!

Review For: Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (DVD, 2003, Special Edition)

The Cowboy Bebop series was just awesome. Noir-space-western at it's best. The movie pretty much sums up the series in one take. The plot amps up the action with the grad scale terrorist activities of one bounty. Spike and his "team" set off the take him down. The plot may not have to many twist, but some turns can leave one saying, "NO WAY!"

Basically, if you love action, then buy this. If you like noir-space-westerns, then buy this. If you like the series, then you should already have this.

Complete Cowboy Bebop Collection

Review For: Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (DVD, 2003, Special Edition)

One of the great classics of anime is that of cowboy Bebop. Despite being created over 10 years ago, the story still feels fresh and fun. Not to mention if you're a music enthusiast (such as me) then you'll love the jazzy and early rock tracks. In some ways the plot is similar to Firefly (not anime) but has enough differences to have its own flavor. I suggest this to anyone who enjoys action, comedy, and/or fantastic music.

GREAT MOVIE!!!

Review For: Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (DVD, 2003, Special Edition)

Cowboy Bebop is already a fantastic series, and the movie makes it even better. It helps the storyline and adds even more depth to the already complex characters. The soundtrack also adds to the emotions. I bought it because I loved the movie the first time I saw it and really needed to watch it again. ^_^
