A great aim and shoot that is so much more.

This is a rock solid aim and shoot 35mm that provides excellent photographs and allows the photographer to intervene and dial in some manual settings if wanted. It rides comfortably in my pocket and is instantly available when a photo opportunity pops up.
Unlike digital, I can drop the roll of film off at the Wal-Mart photo counter when I start shopping, pick it up when I get ready to check out, and review the pictures in my easy chair that evening when I'm ready. I don't have to mess with any cables or cards, download anything, or even start my computer if I don't feel like it. The freedom to enjoy my pictures without worrying about technology is so nice.
I found this camera on E-Bay for a very good price and, after a couple of weeks and two rolls of film, I am thrilled. It is a very high quality piece of gear for a very good price.

Lets you forget about the camera and just take pictures.

One of the best AF viewfinder cameras. Extremely intuitive and simple to use (particularly comparing to digital cameras of similar size). Top notch lens and outstanding image quality. Bright viewfinder. Very solid metal body. Only the essential minimum controls, yet nothing is missing. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice if you want film.

For all of you who love film, this is a compact, wonderful piece of design. You can shoot great pictures. I use it with B&W film like Tmax400 or Trix400. I develop myself and get a delight of gray scales in the film. You just shoot. You just care of what fits inside the frame. There will be no dust in your lens (a door covers it conveniently). The autofocus system works very good, provided you use the central circled focus zone in the finder. The weight (300g) is what you would expect for this metal-made camera, and confortable for carrying with you in a small bag.

I bought it because I'm in love with film.

Piece of advice: just be careful to have another cr123 battery, because this machine won't work without it.

This camera goes everywhere with me, everyday. I shoot it everyday.

If you're buying this camera you already know why it's fantastic. Sharp glass, accurate auto exposure, fast autofocus. Good weight. Zeiss glass. Fits in your pocket. If you need more evidence just search flickr for images tagged "Contax T2"

The lens is really sharp and the focus really quick.

It's a little bit heavy but feels really good holding in your hand.

The flash charge is really quick too.
