Book review

I really like that the author wrote in a lot of sort of home-remedies for guitars and amp repair. He gave examples of what works with what like Lemon oil, or chopsticks or baking soda... Sounds like a cookbook now that I think of it, but its a very useful book as it explains what other books don't. I own some and most of them had one method, which is their best method, but didn't include other methods leaving you inside a box. This guy also explains to you the majority of repairing guitars to get you started. The amp section is a little more brief, but he does remind you that it can be deadly working with amps so be careful.
This is a great buy no matter what level you're in, whether you're just learning to play guitar or you're a seasoned luthier.

Only complaint is the text is small. I think its 12 pt font, but its not double spaced so it looks tinier.

It fits the book well

I purchased the book in hope of finding more tech information on the tube amps, more than guitars. However, the guitar section is very well laid out with some great tips on keeping your guitar adjusted. But for the more advanced tech-looking for more in depth material on amps; this book fell a litte short on that.

EXCELLENT BOOK , BUY IT IF YOU LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT GUITARS AND AMPS. VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND ,PLAIN EXPLANATION AND A LOT OF PICTURES,, VERY GOOD, AND SO HAPPY TO BUY THIS BOOK.

This is a good start to a library, but is by no means a complete guide.

This is a good introduction to guitar and amp maintenance, but I would be no means call this the Complete guide to it. But it is a really good introduction.

really good book, great for some just getting into maintainence and repairs

Really good and informative reading, was expecting it to have a little more in it but great value all the same, well worth it if you have an interest in the subject
