Movie synopsis
An attractive female boarder (Terry Moore) stirs the barely-hidden seeds of contempt between a tired, disappointed housewife (Shirley Booth) and her washed-up, alcoholic doctor husband (Burt Lancaster). Great performances bring William Inge's intense 1950 stage play of broken dreams and marital resentment to life on the big screen, garnering Booth a well-deserved Academy Award for Best Actress and a nomination for Moore as Best Supporting Actress.

"[T]he real value of this film lies in Shirley Booth, whose flawless, heart-tearing performance is worth every square inch of the Best Actress Oscar she won for giving it."

No, you never actually see 'Little Sheba'

Review For: Come Back, Little Sheba (VHS, 1991)

A sad, well crafted film. Shirley Boothe won an Oscar for her portrayal of Lola. You'll either love or loathe Burt Lancaster's trance-like performance. Bring the Kleenex!
