I bought this book to be more familiar with McCoy pottery. I really like the book and found an item in it that I did not know who the maker was. It was one of the items make early that was not marked. I enjoyed the history and knowing about the people involved with making the items. The pictures explainations are many and very good.
I am an avid McCoy collector and I was looking for a new reference guide to supplement what I already had. This was a good choice. The values are outdated but the information is good and gives a good reference for dates. I would highly recommend to all collectors.
Book was purchased for the pictures and reference points for a variety of McCoy Pottery. It does accomplish this with dates of manufacture and descriptions of various lines of McCoy products. Of course, the price ranges are out of date as would be expected for a book that is 13 years old but it does give added reference for harder to find pieces.
I liked this book very much it has alot of color photo's and tells you the prices. It also tells you about the mccoy family and the company. I found out how to tell if I was buying a real mccoy piece or a fake, better than I did before I got the book. It to me was a very helpful book.
