Cobra ESD 7100 Radar Detector

My car was broken into and everything in it stolen including a Whistler Radar detector that I purchased many years ago. I was hesitant about buying a different brand but Cobra's comsumer reviews were for the most part very positive, so I decided to give it a go. I have had it only two days and love it. I especially like the fact that after an alert goes off at the full volume that you set it at, it automatically lowers in volume though the alert continues just above an audible level. Its great. No more reaching up to mute the alerts because they are loud and obnoxious. Its a 'Hey! pay attention' then a lower, 'I'm still here' kinda thing. Simple but convenient.

It was a Lonely Dark & Rainy Night.
The Smoke filled the car as I drove down the highway, bleary eyed from the tiredness that creeps into anyone's bones on a long drive like this.
The Monotony wouldn't have been so bad except that I could BARELY get the reception on the radio to bring in my Favourite Radio Show:- "Coast to Coast".

I pulled over to the side of the road. It was Deep night...the kind of darkness that only is seen when there is something Spooky about to happen.
I was Afraid.
President O'Bama has been in office for almost 1 1/2 years.
There's alight just up ahead....it's either that I'm entering the Twilight zone OR I'm about to check into the Hotel California.

I awoke to the faithful sound of the Radar Detector warning me that I was about to enter a Speed-Trap Zone in West Texas Town of Childress.

I relaxed...& breathed a deep sigh of appreciative relief at the amount of Money I just now saved due to my ever faithful watchman on the windshield.

Life was good, I thought, as I sped away from the town of Childress with ever regressing thoughts of the memories of my ex-wife who had once thrown a heavy Clay Brasilian Vase at my back causing me to spasm in agony for over 2 hours that day & that may well be the cause of my Predominate Left Side IBS in my Colon.

I Cracked the Side Window...allowing the second Hand Cigarette smoke to slowly waft it's escape to the outside bracing night air.

Albuquerque was my destination.

I heard a Howl that could only be that of a Southwestern Sasquatch having crossed the Mexican border & therefore also an illegal.

Probably Illegal form Equidor, Guatemala, or El Salvador.

I mused as I listened to NPR & the Prairie Home Companion, Jealous of the wry wit, the genius of the shows composition.

this is an excellent radar detector. it helps you to be more aware when on the road. it will also prevent from you to recieve any traffic citations. the bright display allows you notice the radar when unable to hear it, eventhogh it has an ajustable volume knob. this is one item that is a must while operating a vehicle.

This is a great little radar/laser detector. Not much money, and does a great job. You can pay a lot more for a detector and still get laser ticket, but why do that. This one does the job for a fraction of the cost. It looks great, and what I especially like, it boots up very quickly.

Este aparato cubre las bandas k y ka que funcionan en españa, pero no con la misma frecuencia ya que los radares de Estados Unidos funcionan con una señal mucho mas potente que en España, por lo que aqui, en el caso de detectar algo, que ya es raro, lo detecta cuando estas pasando por el radar o ya lo has pasado, a parte de las constantes falsas alarmas que da por laser, aparato que en españa no se utiliza, pero confunde la señal con la de las puertas automaticas de cualquier parking por el que pases. Total, es un autentico incordio inutil, yo lo compre y no aconsejo en absoluto su compra, al menos para España y por tanto Europa, que tiene radares similares a los españoles. Un saludo.
