For me this club was a *special need" purchase, as the layout of the course I regularly play (and my less than stellar driving) often leaves me needing to hit a high shot over some trees which will go at least 160 yards and preferably 170 or more. I could hit a 7 iron and get over the trees, but my 7 iron (145-150) is just not long enough. Enter the Cobra Baffler Rail H 6 hybrid. It's not the best looking club, and my first few hits on the driving range left me with some doubts. However, once I got on the course after a little bit of practice, this club has proven to be just what I the doctor ordered. When hit decently well, which is easy to do, the 6H goes quite a bit further than my normal 6 iron (155 to 160), about 170 to 175 on average and occasionally as much as 180. It also goes very high. While it does not get up quite as fast as my 8 iron, it easily peaks at 8 iron height. This club has also proven quite useful as a trouble club, hitting easily out of fairly thick rough and very well out of fairway bunkers, allowing me to hit a good solid 160 yard shot without worrying about the front lip of the bunker. It's not the perfect club. Because it goes so high, the 6H is not good into the wind, and if faced with a clear shot which I can hit with say a 5 iron, I prefer to use an iron rather than the 6H. However, I do find that the club comes in handy in many "trouble" type situations, and I am very pleased with the purchase of the Cobra Baffler 6H.

Top performing hybrid on the market.

I've played several other hybrids over the years & keep coming back to Corba. This club performs even better than the TWS. It gets the ball out, up, & long from rough & fairway bunkers as well as being smooth off the short grass. I have now both a 3 & 4 Baffler. Would not trade them for any other hybrid!!

Started with a Baffler #2 about 2 years ago. I now have the set through #5 and am replacing my irons with these hybrids. They give me much more confidence in the fairway and light rough. If you're in the tall grass, you will want to hit an iron, but these clubs are fantastic anywhere else. Ball gets up, flies straight and extremely consistent.

Great Club - Replaced my Taylormade

Created: 11/30/10
Great look, provides immediate confidence. Ball jumps off face with a muted thud - great sound! Very lively across the clubface. Excellent results out of the rough, fairway, and off the tee. I hit may Taylormade 200, this Cobra goes 215.

The Cobra Rail H #5 is performing very well. Its impressive the distance this club gives compared to the Cobra 3100 I/H 5 iron. Its at least 10 yards longer.
Its certainly worth the purchase price.
