This camera combines a good selection of picture settings (30), and a very compact size to produce a great everyday camera. I have owned several other Casio EXILIM models and this one is very high in quality, just like the previous models. We appreciate Casio's attention to detail and the excellent selection of accessories provided with the Camera. Again, a nice leather case, software, and cables, come with the unit which we appreciate. Since most other brands have eliminated the case as an accessory and we have to buy the case separately for other brands. This 8 Mp camera has excellent resolution and wonderful picture quality. The Casio brand has provided long lasting products for us and a good warranty that we simply haven't needed on any product yet. The lens is a good combination of optic and digital characteristics that provide sharp photos with ease of use.
We use our cameras for work assignments as well as pleasure so our pocket cameras get double duty. The product is dependable and takes the day to day use without showing excessive wear or any sign of unreliability.
This is a simple, compact camera. It has great placement of its controls and is very intuitive. I use this outdoors mostly and it hasn't had any trouble with riding in my backpack on bumpy mountain trails on my bike. The quick button for recording video is handy and I use it a lot. The video quality is not as good as my wifes point and click Canon, it looks more jerky and has scan lines when moved fast. I expected a little better video from a YouTube ready camera. If we need a quick photo this is the first one to boot up and takes pictures quickly and efficiently. The rechargeable battery is nice. Anyone who needs their camera to be compact and take some abuse this one does the job. I would own this again.
