Great mini series one of the best of the 70s tv mini series. all star cast makes this DVD set worth seeing. true acting by the late richard jorden.
One of the best mini-series ever produced. First rate performances buy a very talented cast. After seeing the series in the 70's and telling my family about it, I was finally able to share it with them on DVD. They were so enthralled with the story and kept asking questions concerning the relationship to this piece of fiction and the history of the Kennedy Family.
Think the Bilderberg Group or the Illuminati intertwined with their personal lives.The story revolves a irish immgrant(reminds me of the Kennedy family)who rises to the top from very humble begginings.
In short the mini series is about the elite in the second half of the 1800s America and how they rule everything they can with a iron fist.From starting wars for profit,murdering labor union activists and politicians,That includes Lincoln.
If you follow what`s going on with the New World Order and powerful international bankers you will find this 1976 NBC mini series very interesting.
The novel by Taylor Caldwell was magnificent and The made for Tv Movie of the book was really one of the best TV movies ever made. I put myself in the book and was able to identify with a character in the movie. This is an all time favorite of mine and I am so happy I was able to get this on EBay. I have always been very pleased with my experience on my purchases from E-bay and will continue to purchase items that I like. I have not had a bad experience since I have joined ebay.
I have read the book this movie was based on many times over the years. If you love the book as much as I do, you will love this mini series. It is true to the book and brings the characters to life. Richard Jordan does a good job and there are many famous actors and actresses in this movie. I own several mini-series movies and love this one, I hope you will too. Well worth the money.
