Canon has always been at the forefront of the "point-and-shoot" pocket cameras. I had a similar model of a Canon for years and the only reason I bought this one is that I wanted the higher megapixel resolution for what I use it for. The results are as good or better than my Nikon 35mm film camera and far more convenient. The images are crisp, clear and can be edited in a number of ways using the camera itself. Using the auto setting(s) makes taking good photographs practically fool-proof.

I got this camera for my daughter that had another model of Power Shot. It is small and easy to take with you. The up-close pictures are sharp but she was not happy with the quality of the distance photos; they seems fuzzy and out of focus. It seems a good camera for most occasions and good value for the price payed.
I purchased this camera last week. It is simply the easiest camera to use I have ever tried. I was a 35mm camera nut. I tried several of my friends digital cameras and my 35 got "taken". So I decided it was time to upgrade,I started to check out the digital cameras. I am on a limited income so I needed one that wouldn't break me. This camera was a great buy. It has so many features I haven't got to try them all. The ones I've used are remarkable. It takes all the worry out of trying to get the best shot. I am really impressed by it. I am also taken by the quality of the prints it produces on my home printer. I feel lucky that I choose this camera and would buy it again. I suggest any one looking for a quality camera to take a serious look at this model!
This is a very good small camera that has enough features to make an evryday camera for general usage while traveling, recording family events etc. The IS technology is a plus. I replaced another Canon 1200 with this and so far it is meeting my needs for a small camera.

This is an easy to use point and shoot camera that will get the job done. It would make a great gift for a novice photographer. it's quite small making it perfect for travel and less conspicuous. The picture quality is very good for the price. It could be better, but you would need to invest more money in a higher end camera. I think this model is one of the strongest competitors in its group.
