This printer does it all. Easily scan, copy print or save to disc.
I use this printer at my office. We have it set up with a CIS (Continuous Ink System). Type mp620 CIS into the Ebay search and find it for $80.00. Cis makes it so you don't have to change cartridges and the ink lasts. We print photos and work documents all day long.
There are two separate paper trays for ease of use. We keep photo paper in the second tray and print on the fly.
The WIFI was very easy to set up to our wireless router. Whenever a new person visits they can easily connect to the printer WIFI (with passcode) and print whatever they need.
I am a picky printer. I kept my Epson Stylus 640 for many years because the ink was in expensive, just $4 per cartridge, and the prints were great. When it broke down and died I went to EBAY and purchased a 7 year old replacement same model. Alas that one has too gone the way of the Dodo bird. This printer along with the CIS has replaced my 640 and I'm quite happy.
I have CIS hooked up to my new Workforce 1100, also an Epson. This too works great and it also does 11x17 pages.
Pros:
-Wireless capabilities
-Handsome printer
-LCD display screen
-Set up from CD-ROM with ease
-Print and picture quality are very good
-Separate color ink cartridges
-Two black ink cartridges
Cons:
-Three different directions for wireless set up(use CD-ROM)
-LCD is small
Totally recommended to anyone looking for a fairly priced all-in-one printer
This printer works with Mac systems IN ALL WAYS. New or old, wired or wireless, this printer simply works. The scanner works too. Use the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility to be successful. Printers by other vendors often say they work with Mac but latest system drivers not available or half the features are gone. Like the scanner only works on PC. Ugh. Not this baby. Only possible minus: it's big.
The printer is very good looking and well enclosed to decrease the amount of dirt thant goes in it. Set up took about 30 minutes and very easy to use and not confusing. It doesn't support multi-duplexing but you can use manual duplexing and the picture quality is one of the best I have seen on any multi-function printer. The ink last longer and canon did a good job with this one with its connectivity functions. It can be connected via wifi, wired-ethernet or usb. More functions are present in the MP980 series
Nicely designed, streamlined all-in-one. Fairly easy to set up and operate. Haven't set it up for wireless yet but it works seamlessly on USB connection. Makes a lot of "set-up" noises and prints at an average speed, neither super-fast nor super-slow. Color/head alignment process a tad tedious but necessary for color photos. LOVE the price! And it is recommended by Apple for Macintosh users; connection to my MacBook was a snap. Looks harder for Windows users.
