The canon MG5320 is a nice printer. The one I bought for $20 did not come with cartridges or a print head. I put a used print head in it and put a set of refilled carts in that I also purchased on ebay for about $10, and hey presto, it worked like a champ. Very nice print quality. My wife has a similar model(MG6120)which is almost identical, it too is a very nice printer, and ofcourse both use the multiple set of carts where you can replace individual colors, that I find saves money in the long run. The difference between the two models, beside the 6120 having consealed "touch" buttons in the top panel, the 6120 has an extra (6th) grey cart to enhance color photo printing. Other than that, the MG5320 that this report is about, has the same multi function features, including WiFi operation. We also have an older model canon we have been using for the last 3 years that still works like new. I also use HP printers here and at work, both brands very reliable, but I think the overall print quality of the Canon's are hard to beat.
I have noticed that some user's have critised this model, whereas others like myself have been very satisfied. perhaps there have been some that had trouble right out of the box, but I'm sure Canon would make it right.
It is very hard to know what to think about some write-ups. I'm sure every manufactured item has had problems that someone is going to complain about.
I am pleased with this Canon printer that I purchased on eBay. It puts out a quality printed product. I do not print pictures and I have not tried the copier or scanner yet--have not needed to do either yet--but it is a good printer for my basic printing needs. I had trouble setting it up with my wireless laptop, but the service technician I got when I called the Canon Company walked me through it very nicely and PATIENTLY and knowledgeably! I cannot speak to ink usage yet. It does look like the ink is being consumed rather quickly. These initial cartridges may not be as full as the regular ones though. Anyway, it certainly satisfies my printing needs.
The blacks could be darker, but, switching inks may solve that. That said, The print quality on this puppy is AMAZING. The scanner works like a charm, and wireless setup was painless. The ink is very inexpensive (stock up on the larger black cartridges if you do a lot of color printing). The device has a very small footprint for its capabilities, and the fact that it has a concealed paper tray AND a read paper loader is beyond a joy for me. I couldn't be happier with this printer.
Easy to set up and to use. I wanted the convenience of a wireless printer and the price was too good to pass up. I also consistently see good reviews on the Canon Pixma as far as print quality. Photos on 4x6 glossy have been excellent. Colors are great. Haven't had a chance to try other media yet. Really a great value for a wireless printer that delivers in both features and print quality.
I love this printer. Easy to setup, excellent speed and print quality. Very quiet. The wireless feature is great and I can print from my iPad and iPhone. The duplex printing is a great feature too.
