I am VERY surprised at how much I like this camera. I am a big fan of having multiple choices of AF points to choose from and being as this one 'only' has 11 I was a little skeptical on it's accuracy. I have to say that the outer points work pretty well considering their not cross points. They work much better than my 5d1's outer points. It's great at high ISO, a much cleaner grain if you will. Don't think you can shoot at 2500 and you wont see noise. It's just that it's more refined and the picture still holds great detail and sharpness.
I shot an engagement session and a wedding within the first week of owning it. I felt right at home using it. I did miss the battery grip and my 'loose' pinkie, HA. My only complaint is that all the buttons are on the right hand side and I kept reaching with my left hand for the playback button. I wish it had a separate multi controller but I know it was left out to keep the size down. Which brings me to the weight. After hearing many reviews about how light it is, I was worried about it being cheap. And by no means does it feel that way. It's quite the contrary actually. It's solid and light. Awesome. For most of the wedding I had this with a 28mm f2.8IS or the 50mmf1.4 and my 1d3 with the 70-200 f2.8IS and everytime I put the 1d3 down the 6d combo felt like a feather. I let my girlfriend(2nd shooter) use it for about an hour towards the end of the day because it was getting dark and her 40d is only ok at high ISO. Let's just say she didn't want to give it back. I think I will be saving to buy the 1dx for me and passing this off to her.
Oh, I almost forgot. It is one of the quietest shutters I've ever heard. You will love that when trying to document inside in quiet environments.
This camera is excellen. I mostly use for shooting video. A full frame sensor for that price is awesome and great quality on low light situations... I will buy another one!!!
very good camera, excellent image, silent, wide range, high iso noise, good ergonomics, good price, very good performance in video, electronically adjustable focus
My first full frame. I highly recommend it. Great high iso handling, great physical feel and controls, wifi feature works great to my Google nexus 7.
