Best Driver Ever...Period
Created: 04/10/08
OK, I have been playing golf for about 30 years now and have used practically every type of driver there is. When I was learning the game around 9 years of age, my driver was an old Wilson 4 wood that my dad had lying around in the garage. Then I went through the Spalding wood driver stage, the metal woods, and then the Big Bertha era came along and suddenly the bar was raised in terms of the drivers design, performance, and quality. I really didnt think things could get much better than the Great Big Bertha when that club came out. I used that for a few years along with a few different Titleist drivers until last year when I demo'd the FT-i at my club. HOLY COW!!! The FT-i is absolutely, positively, the greatest driver ever made (in my opinion of course). First of all, the sound this club makes is awesome. Its that high pitched CRACK sound that makes heads turn. I love it! But the best part of this club is its performance. UNBELIEVABLE! Even mis-hits and off-center hits result in decent shots because of this clubs forgiveness. I have the 9 degree Neutral model and the ONLY problem I have with this club is that I hit the ball to high with it, therefore, I end up losing yardage. But if you are a low-trajectory hitter, this club will be perfect for you. If you hit a high ball like I do, buy the Low Center of Gravity version of this FT-i. Trust me on this one. Unfortunately, the LCG FT-i wasnt available when I purchased mine, but it is available now. Even so, this club is amazing. Like I said before, even the mis-hits result in good shots. And Im not just blowing smoke here. Sure the mis-hits dont go as far as center hit balls, but they still end up in the fairway off of this clubface. The club is simply amazing. My advice to you before buying it is to demo one first to see what type of ball flight you get from it. Or, if you already know you are a high-ball hitter, go ahead and DEFINITELY purchase the LCG version. You will get an extra 10-20 yards by doing so.

I always wanted one of these drivers
Created: 03/07/11
The first time I used on of these drivers was about 3-4 years ago when I was a volunteer at a Nationwide PGA tournament. There was a representative from Callaway who set up a display of Callaway products(carry bags, shoes, clubs etc.) at the driving range. He had a FT-i on display. He asked me if I wanted to try it out. I was intimidated going up to the driving range with all the pros around. But I teed a ball up and, CRACK, I drove a ball about 280 yards(that is pretty good shot for me). He had me tee another one up and BAM, I hit another ball way out there. I figured that I better quit while was ahead, with all those pros standing around. That driver had a price tag of $499. at that time. That was not in my budget at that time. I was glad to get one of these FT-i drivers at a low cost to me from Ebay,

This club lives up to the hype!

I am a weekend golfer and i play only about 15 times per year. the Callaway FT-i is one of those "golf improvement" products that actually will improve your shot off the tee. This club lives up to the hype! I am hitting the ball straighter and the straight shot translates into a longer shot. the club head is very stable and well balanced meaning it is very forgiving. Pair this club with a Callaway Warbird golf ball and you will amaze yourself (no, I am in no way affiliated with Callaway, but they have helped me greatly improve my game).

I have tried a few SQ drivers, This is the first one that works for me, very easy to swing, ball seems to jump off the face. I bought this used, 10deg, draw bias with speed shaft reg flex, works real nice. These went new for around $400, you can get a nice one on ebay for 70-100 dollar range. The nikes almost seem toy like, or gimmicky, this callaway is sweet!

FT-i I-MIX Driver

Super stable club head. Be as aggressive as you like. Barring a complete swing breakdown, the ball flight will be straight. As a part of the I-Mix system, you will always have options as your swing changes or your course demands change. There are lots of quality names in golf, but Callaway is THE name in golf. You can't go wrong.
