The reason I fell in love with Callaway.
Created: 10/27/05
The Callaway Big Bertha Warbird was the first golf club I ever fell in love with. I used a demo club at a proshop and was instantly mesmerized by the sound and feel. There was no smack, thwack, twang, or thunk. This club made an actual "ping" noise. Others on the range actually turned to look at me and this new wonder club. The feel is awesome, almost like not hitting a ball. If you've hit a baseball, right on the sweetspot of the bat, you know what I'm talking about. You feel the ball bounce off the club. Best of all, I nailed the ball with this club. It went almost straight. I used cobra, ben hogan, and titlesit woods before this, but I sliced or pushed everything. Somehow with this club, it was more of a sweet little fade. I've since followed the Callaway line up past the Steelhead to the Big Bertha II version. They're great, but it all started with the warbird.

Solid Classic Club

I really like the feel of this club. It is very advanced for its age, and is the base for several of the current clubs Callaway makes. Very long, very forgiving. Overall a nice club. I upgraded to the Callaway Big Bertha Fairway Woods (2004), but I kept my warbird 3-wood as a backup.

Great Club!

Callaway, as usual, was ahead of its time with this pre-hybrid 9 wood. The club head is titanium with a regular flex shaft. It hits the ball nicely off the fairways and launches it high which drops the ball where you want it. It is also a great club for the rough. Its small head is able to reach the ball and drive it out of trouble. I highly recommend this club for those preferring drivers to irons. Although this club is old technology its a money and shot saver that can't be beat!

Big Bertha 7

I just like how the ball comes off of the club when hitting. I have had the Driver, 3 wood and now the 7. I've hit all the clubs real well, so I decided to get a 7. I don't have a problem hitting the club from anywhere. The fairway or teeing off with it.

Callaway Big Bertha War Bird features a stainless steel head and sets up very nicely at address. The Callaway Warbird Fairway woods are widely considered to be one of the most forgiving and best selling steel headed woods.
