Product Information
After landing on the beaches of Normandy, soldiers spread out to liberate Europe from the Nazi regime. In Call of Duty 3, single players focus on the stories of four Allied soldiers that begin at Operation Cobra and leads to the eventual Liberation of Paris. Game room generals will lead the group through 14 missions filled with multiple attack routes as a member of either the American, British, Polish, and Canadian armies. Each path requires the use of special tactics in order to navigate the course effectively. Soldiers come equipped with special skills such as the British SAS soldier's knack for sabotage, and the Canadian mechanized infantry's expertise at inventive vehicles.

Internet action is available for up to 24 people in a single or split-screen game. Players choose from five different classes of character such as medic and anti-armor, and then customize gameplay options. Several game types include "Team Battle," "Capture the Flag," "War," "Headquarters," and a single flag "CTF" that can be played out on many different maps. Online achievements are awarded for accomplishments similar to getting the first kill in a multiplayer match, or being in the top percentage of scores for ranked games. Environments include deformable objects such as piles of wood that move and splinter when shot, and players may destroy soft cover to flush enemies out in the open. Additional "Battle Action" invites gamers to shoot less and get their hands dirty setting C-4 charges, and fighting Germans with their bare hands.

    Answer the Call!!!

    Pros
+ Trademark 'Call of Duty' small part of a big war action.
+ Realistic weapons & improved sniping & better tank driving than the previous installment.
+ Intense gameplay througout the whole game.

    Cons
    - Muddy texture compared to the glossy next-gen version.
    - No co-op.
    - No real improvements over 'Call of Duty 2' except for some new multiplayer stuff like being able to sprint.
    - Lots of glitches that make the game almost unplayable on harder difficulties like the CPU always knowing where you are & useless teammates.
    - Useless mini-games that attempt to break up boredem within the game.
    - Shortage of checkpoints.

    Comments
There aren't many improvements to the series but there are quite a few more glitches. These glitches are usually obvious & frustrating to deal with. You will also get tired of playing levels over on harder difficulties because checkpoints are so rare during big battles. Driving still needs some work & the series needs to break away from the traditional 1st person shooter by allowing you to take cover or sprint. Sprinting is available in multiplayer but never in the campaign. But getting shot trying to peak around corners gets old, especially when the enemy can hit you with blind fire. This is still a solid game though & plenty of intense Nazi-fighting fun.

    Verdict
Fun WWII game. Not a must have but if you are a fan don't pass it up.

It's OK ....BUT I am not impressed....

This game on my PS2 came with a few glichs and hangups... over all it is OK but not enough to WOW ME out of my chair.
Graphics are about the same as the older version.
In and during my game play it hung up and nothing would free it so i could continue, so i had to re-play that whole section over again and then it worked.
In another section I ran out of ammo and had to wait a long time before more troops came to get any more.
Came to a few spots were the men with me said " lets move out" they left but i had to search for about 10 minutes to find out how they crossed the barbwire road block, this really sucks!
Another time drew a bead on this one enemy and shot him and another came running out of a house to the very same spot I shot him and then again and again and again for about 100 or more. I sat there and kept shooting the same spot...BORING to say the least...some times it seems as though the gun im shooting should reach the enemy and kill them but i have to shoot them 3,4,5,6 times before they fall and they are not all that far away from me.
I played Call of Duty 2 on my computer and this really was a great game on a computer but i do not know how this #3 will play on a computer...i wonder ?

Rush out to buy this one NO ! Save your money or buy it for your computer if it can play it.The only reason i bought this game was such a great price from this
ebay dealer, and because of all the HYPE about how this game is about to ROCK the gamming world off it's feet.
Like I said it's OK but nothing here to shake the world about.

    Call of duty 3

Call of duty 3 runs along the same lines as 1 and 2. It has improved some and if you enjoyed the first two in this series you can not go wrong with this title. I enjoy the first person experience that you play as with this game as well as some of the new things you get to do (ie: fight one on one, place bombs, ect..)

    Its Reign Continues

Your going through a building while bombers are doing their job, then all of a sudden, being alone you get attacked by a German and you dropped your rifle. This scene depicted truly tells of its reign and grip holding experience. To end that conflict, you just got to follow the instructions on screen and wham you have his rifle and you just rifle butt, his butt to the ground. Chalk one up for your efforts. And all the way through the game you get some of these scenes as you go through. Remember in the earlier ones and the MoH games, how you press action and theres the bomb to destroy the AAG. Well, in here, you actually get to put that bomb together for the prep. You gotta swing the analog stick this way, press O to put the fuse in, then end it by switching it on to detonate by the X button. That goes to show how innovating the developers were in creating this game for you and me. Online you get to choose from the assortment of levels and play assault or Team Battle to a true CTF experience. Plus you et to choose what kit you have for that battle, whether a medic or a scout or a support gunner. Each class also gets their own types of weaponry that you cannot put off. You always have that and one other weapon too. then the inventory goes quite cool in it also: mines for the 2 assault types, rifle grenade for Riflemen, lay out ammo for others and you when a support, call artillery strikes as a Scout, heal an incapacitated guy(when it says your critically wounded) back to life. These all add a flavor to the game online. Now the only thing online that is bad, is that when an amount of people(large) go on, you have a great deal of lag and can wait quite a while just to respawn after you are dead. All in all, this game does truly define the WW2 experience to you. The best in its class today.

    Worth 10 Bucks Or Rent

The game was worth the $10. 4/5

    Pros:
    Great Campaign
    Great Storyline
    Balanced Weapons
    Good Overall Gameplay
    Missions have variety
    Good Selection of Difficulty
Weapons Function Realistically (Accuracy, Damage, etc.)
    Online functions works
    Has unlockable artwork, videos, ect.

    Cons:
Barely anyone playing online anymore-You can only play campaign so many times
    Online feels limited
Controls get a little buggy at a few points in the game

Overall, the game provides entertainment well worth the $10 I bought it for. Do not expect much online play since barely anyone plays this game online anymore. The weapons function realistically unlike in modern call of duty games where sniper rifles and sub machine guns dominate the game. I suggest you rent it since you will get maybe 8-15 hours of enjoyment out of it before you get bored.
