Pixar couldn't have put together a better all-star cast to represent the characters in A Bug's Life!
This is one of those movies that sucks you in and makes you feel as though you're actually a part of it.
The graphics and animation are simply amazing in color and detail. The plot and characters lend a believable quality about the life of ants. And it definitely has all the necessary emotional components for a movie to be considered successful: Happiness, sadness, anger, humor, drama, adventure, inspiration, etc. There are bonus features, too... both, at the beginning of the film, then some hilarious bloopers at the end.
Mostly classified as a "Family" feature, but anyone could enjoy this movie.
And it's a definite MUST HAVE for any dvd collection!
I had this movie on VHS, DVD, and now blu-ray. Always when you think that is a great picture technology move up a step. There are seens that look like you can put your hand into. The depth of blu-ray is wonderful. I know this is just a childrens animation, but it's worth watching it in this format. Can't wait for the other disney movie to come out in Blu ray.
It's a fun movie, family orientated, cute, funny characters. The story is good/interesting. The kids have repeatedly watched it. The length was good. I've watched it a few times also--each time I watch it, I see or hear something I didn't previously catch before. Clean language...
A must have Disney DVD for any family movie collection! Computer animation is great, and story has a great message! A wonderful movie for all to enjoy!
A Bug's Life was Pixar's way of saying that Toy Story wasn't a fluke and that computer animated films are here to stay. A Bug's Life is everybit as colorful, creative, and amusing as any other Pixar movie. Regardless of your age, it is impossible not to fall in love with the animated characters in this movie. The story is extremely funny and entertaining. Don't look past this excellent film.
