All the "serious" juicers recommend the Breville brand, so I bought this one for about $100. The purchase was made over a month ago, and I'm still drinking freshly-made vegetable juices daily. I'm making trips to the grocery store or co-op twice a week for fresh, organic produce.
Great product. It really gets the job done. Clean-up is something of a time-consuming pain, but I'm told it's easier with this juicer than most others. I guess the cleaning isn't TOO bad, and I'm getting faster at it. And when using it, I make enough juice to last me two days, which cuts down on how OFTEN I have to clean it. (I bottle and refrigerate the spare juice in Mason jars, filled to the brim. This is the method recommended by expert juicer Kris Carr. Some purists will tell you not to prepare juice that far in advance, because the nutrients are allegedly lost quickly, but Carr says consuming it within 48 hours is okay.)
Juicing has enabled this former "veggie hater" to get hyper-amounts of fresh vegetables and fruits into his system, for better health. My skin looks great, my eyes are clear and bright (which helps show-off my baby blues), and I feel better.
The only "problems" with this model are the annoying cleaning time (although, again, I hear other models take even LONGER to clean) and the reported fragility of the filter basket (some have reported breaks in the screen, which I haven't had a problem with yet; I just take extra care to be GENTLE when cleaning it). A great juicer, worth the low cost; an overall terrific value. And it's a highly-touted BREVILLE!
The Breville BJE200XL 700 Watts Juicer, in my opinion is the best juicer i got for my money.Same day i got it i made myself a drink, and i gotta say, this is an excellent juicer for your money.
I like that with a little bit of veggies and fruits you can make an extreme amount of juice and the taste is so rich you just gotta love this juicer. I also enjoy the easy cleaning for the juicers parts and with the brush you can reach into the lower parts where there is fern. The size of the juicer is comfortable for the space in your kitchen and does not take up all the space. The noise i have to say is somewhat loud but not that noisy as compared to other juicers. It is an excellent juicer. I decided to buy this after my Black and Decker broke down, it was really noisy and didn't get enough juice for my money. I also bought this because i like to drink nutritious drinks. I gotta say that this juicer is more than i expected and at a good price.
WOW, This is the best value juicer for its price. Has twice the wattage that the Jack La Lane juicer has. It's powerful and saves you money by yielding more juice. If you like eating the pulp don't buy this juicer, it will be disappointing. Had my friend over to drink some juice with me and she asked me to order one for her. For a few more hundred bucks you can get a more durable one from the same manufacturer but this one in plastic is sturdy and sufficient to do the job over and over again and again. Buy this one, I don't see there being another one like this one for 100 buck range.
This juicer is not as loud as my old one. It is very fast, and most vegetables and small fruits don't need to be cut to fit in it. It is easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. The only thing I would change, is a "high" and "low" setting, as the soft fruits don't juice as well as hard vegetables. The more expensive Breville's do come with this function, and if I were to buy a new one, I would get a higher grade Breville.
I guess this falls into the "know what you're buying" category. The product itself is great. Very fast. Easy to clean. All the components break down and you can put it in the dishwasher. Juices well. We were not going to spend $300 for a top of the line juicer. Only problem I guess I have is it throws the pulp into the container (which it's supposed to do) vs. grinding it all up into the juice like I've heard other juicers do. Good overall value though.
