Big sound from the 2 small speakers and a lot of deep bass from the acoustimass module it fills a 14.1/2 X 19'living room with surround sound with out satellite speakers witch is why I chose the Bose no wires to hook up and hide behind you!
However you have to crank up the volume to get the desired results but you want it loud for home theater sound.
Voices are clean and clear @ lower volume levels I bought them because the speakers for the TV were crappy A Sony Bravia 52'' KDL-52VL150 so I run the Bose thou the set for everything Blue ray radio any input that goes thou the set
I cant find much to come plane about them except the are pricey but I doubt you would be dissatisfied.
I purchased the Bose Cinemate Speaker System on December 23rd, 2009 and installed it as the instructions stated. I connected the speakers like the manual says and did all the things that the manual said to do to make the sound better than it was BEFORE I purchased the speaker system. It has an off the wall speaker sound and to get any satisfaction, you have to turn the TV off and increase the sound of the speakers and then it becomes a BOOM BOX. When I tried to return item, there would be a charge of restocking, freight going and coming, insurance, etc to the amount of $200.00 plus. THE REASON I PURCHASED SPEAKER SYSTEM WAS BECAUSE OF MY HEARING.....
The sound is good, the downside is that it only accommodates an analog imput (red & white RCA plug) from the sound source. My TV only has an optical (digital) output so I had to buy an analog to digital converter for about $60.00. If you have a modern TV then buy the Bose CineMate Series II, which does have the optical and analog inputs. Other than that, it sounds good.
I paid about $320 for the system. I'm pretty pleased with it. The bass doesn't exactly have the punch that I was hoping for but I was pretty much expecting that. I've seen similar 2.1 speaker systems for $1500+ so the quality is fine by me. It's easy to assemble as long as you follow the directions correctly. Overall a good system; you get small hideaway speakers, a hastle free setup, and the Bose name.
Great sound system. I had the old Bose surround system from the early 90's; center-left-right speaker. The base and purchased two rear speakers, and it still sounds like it did when I bought it, but I wanted to clean up my living room with one speaker. I gave my old set to my Mom. I am not disappointed with the sound of my new speaker bar, and if this one lasts like my other Bose speakers did, then the price will be worth it!!
