A super-sized shooter
Created: 02/14/11
Borderlands had long been known as one of the top cooperative shooters since its release. Though the story and mission structure could be improved, the game more than made up for it with easy controls, stunning graphics, and a detailed world that truly immersed gamers in the world of Pandora. Now, with the game of the year edition, all four of Borderlands' downloadable content packs are available at the touch of a few keys!
This awesome package includes the original borderlands on a different disk, a map of pandora/Borderlands poster, a trial code for Duke Nukem, and of course a card with the codes for each of the four DLC packs: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, Claptrap's Robot Revolution, and my personal favorite, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.
Those who have already bought these separately can safely spend their money elsewhere. The game of the year edition is perfect for gamers like me who have played Borderlands with others, but haven't purchased their own copy or any of the DLC yet. New enemies, better weapons, and an extent to the narrative made me glad I'd spent the extra money on this amazing game.
If you're looking for stunning character development or a compelling, book-worthy narrative, Borderlands is probably not for you. But if you want great graphics, gameplay, and a co-op experience that will blow your mind away, Borderlands has all that and more locked and loaded! So RPG fans who want to get their violence on, or Shooter fans who want the leveling-up experience need look no further!
Note: This game is rated "M" for a reason, and parents should take care before buying this game for their children. Violence is the watchword of this game, and you'll be surprised at how much of this game's graphics are devoted to exploding heads, dismembered limbs, and exploding bodies. Also, language in Borderlands is somewhat mild compared to other games, but it occurs more frequently than I would like. Consider yourself warned.

Borderlands Is A Great Game! It Mixes The RPG Style With A First Person Shooter. It's A Must Have For Any RPG Fan Or First Person Shooter Fan! The Expansions Add Even More Fun! With All The Sides Missions And The Fun Of Just Killings Stuff Will Have You Playing For Days. I Would Reccomdmend This Game To Everyone 13+ ....Due To Strong Language And Gore... And A Few Sexually Remarks.
It All Starts Off On A Planet Called Pandora. A Planet And As Fallen To Bandits And Creautes That Inhabit The Planet. You Can Choose From 4 Different Characters That Have Different Abilites And Power Ups. The button Layout Is Just Like Call Of Duty 4. There Is Plenty Of Weapons To Discover And Rides To Drive. Only One In The Regular GAme But If You Get The Expansions You Will Have 3 Vehicles. Its Just A Great Game All Around. The Only Let Down Is No Deathmatch Online, But Hopefully Borderlands 2 Will Have That. Can't Wait!
This Game Is A Must Have For Fans Of RPGs, First Person Shooters, And Others Like.

This game provides a magical experience. My best friend and I purchased this game back in 2009 when it came out, and we had hours of laughter and pure frivolity. I managed three playthroughs of the near 15-20 hour campaign before I sold it. I purchased it because it has become quite affordable, and my friend and I have put in another 12 hours in the last week on this, our fourth playthrough. I would recommend this game to RPG fans, fans of Open-world games, and FPS fans alike. Worth far more than the extremely reasonable price I paid for it.

This has to be one of the most addictive games I have played, and I play a lot of games. It's kind of a mix of Fallout 3 and Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast(if anyone remebers that game). The random weapon creator, the cel-shaded art style, the character designs, open world gameplay, and RPG elements make for an outstanding experience, with or without friends playing along side you. To make things even better, the GOTY edition comes with all the DLC on a seperate disc for the Xbox 360. Who could really ask for more out of a title?

I decided to buy it b/c I've wanted the GOTY for a while, but didn't have the financial means to purchase it at the time. Borderlands is an AWESOME game that earns its GOTY title. A first-person shooter with RPG elements: WIN.
