Halo + Diablo + EVEN MORE GUNS = Borderlands 2

I am a fan of Borderlands 1. I beat that game countless times with different characters. How does Borderlands 2 fair against its predecessor?

The good:
+The game has more enemy types than Borderlands 1. New enemies include the Bullymon (four armed brutes that throw cars), etc.
+Borderlands 2 has more guns than the first Borderlands, considering the first game had over 1 million guns... that IS saying a lot. Borderlands 2 also has more different shield and grenade types.
+The game is HUGE it is larger than the Game Of the Year edition of Borderlands 1 which came with all the expansions bundled in....

The BAD:
-Many of the enemy types are recycled from the first game (the midgets, axe maniacs, bruisers, spider ants, etc.)
-The game's story is WEAK (Borderland 1 story was weak too btw.)
-The game's pace is off. Enemies respawn too quickly not letting the player explore or loot the area effectively. Borderland 1 played like this: fight, explore,loot, repeat. Borderland 2 is played like this: fight, fight, fight, explore/loot, fight, repeat. Action at all times isn't always a good thing.
-The game contains TOO MANY illuminati references, the pyramids, the eye, devil horn symbol... these shed a negative light on the whole experience.

BOTTOM LINE: Game has worse pace than the first one, but has more of everything else. BUY IT if you liked the first one :)

worth your money

Very good game, good music, good game play, lots of trophies, lots of challenges, four various character skins to choose from, including Axon, and a fifth bonus character skin, named Mechromancer. Creature Slaughter Dome is not very fun though, very boring. I wish I would have saved money and bought my game on eBay instead of Game Stop, however.

Actually already own this game on PC, but my roommate and friend are picking this game up for ps3 so I will be joining them.
Fantastic game, the humor and the gameplay both.
I wasn't a huge fan of Borderlands 1, it was good but I got burnt out on it so fast as it just bored me.

Borderlands 2 is a vast improvement upon the first game in both humor and gameplay, and above all, it actually has a story this time.

Good game but too many glitches!

This game has way too many glitches. It shouldn't have been put out when it was. It needed a lot more work. Don't get me wrong it's still a good game if you liked borderlands 1 but the glitches take a lot away from a great game experience. Game does have vulgar language in it.

Great graphics, comedy, lots of weapon, 4 classes to chose from! 5/5!!!!!!!

I've haven't played Borderlands 2 yet, but i assure you that i have played borderlands 1 and it was absolutely fantastic!. I can assure you that Borderlands 2 going to be the best FPS/RPG games of all time in my opinion. There are lots of weapon, lots of places to be discovered, playing co-op/Multiplayer with friend, trying to finish the game together are lots of fun, great graphics, and comedy!. If your looking for a game that going to last you a while then, Borderlands 2 is your pick! Definitely recommended!.
