Nothing beats Blackberry for function. If you want apps and games maybe Android will be best for you. I used several BB's for years and tried an Android this month. Android is missing a lot of intuitive, functional features and freezes up all the time. Funny how they talk about games, video and dual core processors and the things still freeze up! Crazy. Never had these problems with Blackberry. Fastest email, compressed data, encrypted data, most ergonomic and intuitive operating system available. Maybe WP7 has more style. Maybe iPhone is prettier, maybe Android is more fun, but I don't care about those things...I want my device to work right when I need it to.
I bought this BB Torch 9860 because it's a touch screen and I really like a touch screen phone. Besides, I chose BB to contact my families easily. I like how it has a fast response to which feature I want. I don't like the glitch on it. Sometimes when I turn on my music and I have an incoming txt msg, both music will play on it and the one for my txt msg wont stop until I restart it. The battery also run faster if you keep using data services like BBM, browser or facebook. I pretty much like this phone. I've been in love with it since the first time I saw it, the sleek design, 4G capability and BBM. If only BB can fix the glitches, I sure I'll get the next generation of this BB.
I bought my BB Torch 9860 used, but at a great price. It is a 4G phone, NOT 3G as in descriptions. Battery life is really short without apps running in background. It doesn't have enough memory to install apps, only a few can be downloaded. It's amazingly slow for being 4G and locks up/busy working quite a bit. This is my third BB phone, I won't switch, I still love the way BB phones work, extremely easy and bigger menu selections compared to other smart phones. It is a nove phone, just has a few flaws. Can't wait for the NEW BB phone to come out, if it's like this one, but bigger and better, I'll sure get me one.
buy this phone because I had asked earlier gift when I saw the features I decided to buy it right away! What is best and most practical is touch screen as it was acostumabrada one similiar but with another operating system. Applications that are installed brings easy to use but have several applications open reduces battery charge but the case with other phones. I'm very happy with this model, not change it!
I've been using BlackBerry since Pearl 8100, small screen, trackball and no qwerty pad. The Torch 9860 is the sum mum of Blackberry devices evolution. The touch screen works perfect (not like storm model) It's elegant, easy to use and is very adaptive for those who, like me, came from qwerty keyboard. Pictures are great and the screen is big and very clear, no other Blackberry has the same definition. The only thing is the battery life, it drains in 24 hours. This is something that BlackBerry need to fix. Using the last OS, 7.1.0.267 the phone became much stable and with more improvements. If you plan to leave your BlackBerry with qwerty keyboard, this is the best option. May be the next BlackBerry (London model) will be better, but this one is the first step for BlackBerry devices massive change and getting closer to iPhone and others phone with touchscreen. The price/value for the product is excellent. I think this was the best option that I made in technology terms in long time. I'm very happy with this phone and it's very recommended option.
