This is a good value if you are looking for an entry level Blacberry phone. It's battery life is quite good, and the trackball makes navigation through its menus fairly easy. It has a wide range of apps and features many would find desireable in a phone. It has a decent internal memory, but shines better with a large capacity memory card. It has a visually clean and sleek appearance. as well as a compact form. You can drop it your pocket or a belt case and have quick easy access to all its features. The speakerphone is loud, clear and true to life sounding. The only downside is texting can be difficult if you are not used to "double tapping " the keys to change letters and numbers. Otherwise, it does what it is supposed to do.
This phone is an awesome phone! I recently switched from a droid eris to this phone and love it! It has all the apps on blackberry app world! Great Battery life! Internet is good on it! The sure type keyboard i love the most. If you are thinking about getting a droid but still want to keep a blackberry get this phone it does everything that a droid does only 10x better!! the phone is also very slim and has a great feel! Blackberry did a great job on this phone! A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ (:
Phone works well but seems to be cheaply made. Reminds me of one of those cheap prepaid trac phones. The screen has a side to side movement when phone is open, and the battery door doesn't fit tight when on. It's really light weight, and seems to be hollow. All in all I would only use this phone for a back up. I think the first time it got dropped that would be the end of it.
Ive personally used many varieties of blackberry devices and this is by far the best, better than the storm considering there are aspects of a touch screen device that are undesirable in all touch screens(keyboard eating up your screen, mistouches, spelling mistakes, the list goes on). The keys are as smooth as silk and the pearl ball is the best navigation tool on any cell phone ever. The suretype keyboard is pure genius, you get a keyboard without all the hassle of a giant layout of tiny little keys, it uses the iTap style of input that works quite well considering there are only 2 options of letter per keys that 3 which makes the system more efficient for knowing what your typing. Finally the most important aspect is the flip NO MORE SCRATCHED UP SCREENS, which is a real problem with touchscreens. App world is great, web browsing is tops. and perhaps the sweetest feature is the exterior screen with its excellent clock.
Well, this is my first smart phone and, so far so good. Happily this one actually includes a little handbook of set up information, tips, and short cuts. Most of the time now all you get is a reference to a website, but this phone comes with two CDs with programs and other helpful information. The battery life seems to be kind of short, but I work around that by getting additional batteries at a very reasonable cost. All in all, this is a wonderful phone and I'm enjoying using it immensely.
