|The appeal of BlackBerry products has always been in the keyboard and BlackBerry business connectivity. The BlackBerry Curve 8330 continues that trend, but adds a variety of other features like Bluetooth and GPS in this 3G smartphone. The GPS helps road warriors get where they are going, while Bluetooth enables hands-free calls on this BlackBerry smartphone. Users can also check e-mail from a variety of corporate email services, complete with spell check functionality. Popular office documents can also be used with the BlackBerry Curve 8330. Other aspects of the phone work for professional and personal use, including customizable ringtones, call audio modulation, and conference calling on the BlackBerry Curve 8330. And this BlackBerry smartphone has a host of apps available for online download, so users can customize their phones with the functionality they need. There is a 2 MP camera in this 3G smartphone, and a storage upgrade can add up to 8 GB of memory to store a user's images.|

The RIM BlackBerry 8320 offers integrated Wi-Fi and works with T-Mobile's HotSpot@Home service so you can make calls via Wi-Fi. The smartphone also features a nice, sleek design; a spacious QWERTY keyboard; a 2-megapixel camera; popular IM clients; and good call quality.
The Curve's camera can't record videos, and there's no 3G support. The BlackBerry Web browser isn't quite as sophisticated as those on competing smartphones.
The RIM BlackBerry Curve (aka BlackBerry 8320) for T-Mobile is the best BlackBerry we've seen to date as it offers Wi-Fi, best-of-breed design, and excellent performance.

As a former AT&T iPhone user disenfranchised by steadily increasing hidden fees, I decided to give Boost Mobile a try when they began carrying the Blackberry Curve 8330. While it was a great phone for it's day, the 8330 was several years old and severely lacking on memory by the time Boost picked it up, making it less than ideal for running multiple applications.
Boost heard the concerns of their customers and quickly picked up the much more efficient Blackberry Curve 8530, which trumps the older 8330 in nearly every way. Aesthetically, the most notable feature is the lack of a trackball, which was notorious for getting clogged with pocket lint. It has been replaced by a new touch-sensitive trackpad, which admittedly takes some getting used to, but widely outperforms the trackball.
The physical size of the 8530 is very similar to its predecessor, albeit just a bit thinner. You will find the button layout to be nearly identical as well, although the 8530 has unfortunately opted for smaller shift keys, which is a small gripe and can be easily adjusted to. The addition of rewind, play/pause and fast forward keys have been added to the top of the phone, which are a welcome addition for those that prefer keeping their Blackberry holstered while listening to music.
Not much has changed in the way of the screen, as the size and resolution are identical to the 8330, although the 8530's appears to be slightly brighter. The phone comes equipped with the final version of the 5.0 OS, although the menu layout has improved from the 8330 - there are now 6 shortcuts available on the home screen, and the application icons themselves are larger, making them more distinguishable.
The voice reception is excellent on both the handset and included headphones with built-in mic. The speakerphone is loud and audible, and is even loud enough to listen to music in a small room. Web browsing is much improved thanks to the addition of Wi-Fi capability.
Unfortunately, the 8530 does not come packed in with a holster like the 8330 did, which most BB users know can tremendously help with battery life. This leads me to the only 2 downfalls of the 8530 in comparison to it's older brethren - the battery life is somewhat shorter, and the 2MP camera does not have a flash! This may not be detrimental, but is still inexcusable considering much older BBs have this feature.
What really makes this phone stand out from the pack though, is that it comes equipped with 256MB of on-board memory, up from a measly 96MB on the 8330. This means that you will no longer need to reset your phone on a daily basis, and will no longer find yourself doing a battery pull at inopportune times. With the vast and quickly-expanding Blackberry App World, you'll have plenty of room for the great apps, many of them free - including Facebook, Twitter, Pandora and Google Maps. Room for additional pictures, documents and music is no problem either, as the upgradable memory slot accommodates all sizes of MircoSD cards.
If you're a smartphone user that has grown tired of being stuck in a multi-year contract with one of the big companies and find your bill to be ever-increasing, even when staying within limits, this phone is for you. It's not quite an iPhone 4 or Droid X, but with many of the same apps for only $60 per month and the opportunity to shrink your bill to $45 after 18 on-time monthly payments, it's really hard to turn down - simply the best prepaid phone available.

My opinion of the phone is quite skewed. I have been using this phone for quite some time. And the phone is actually for Alltel not Sprint. Due to Verizon's ineptness in processing insurance claims I decided to buy another one here.
The phone uses a track-ball instead of the touch pad, which I prefer. The phone however only has 128mb of internal memory for applications where the newer phones have a lot more memory but if you don’t need to have ALL of the latest applications on your phone at the same time this is one great phone. JUST BE MINDFUL OF THE USB CHARGING PORT! It evidently is the weak link in the ruggedness of the phone. Mine died when it was dropped and landed on the USB cord while it was plugged in. Several phones that I have found here on Ebay have sustained the same damage.
Verizon attempted to replace my damaged phone with a model 8530 Blackberry. The differences are interesting. First let me start off with saying that Verizon no longer carries the 8330 so they “upgraded” me to the 8530. The 8330 features a flash for the camera where the 8530 does not. The 8530 also uses a file system and sticks stuff in file folders where they can some time be difficult to locate.
I have also been informed by several “technical support personnel” that Alltel phones WILL NOT work with Verizon calling plans so buyer beware if you are thinking this will be a cheap phone for your Verizon account look elsewhere. I chose this phone for the simplicity and for the ease of navigation. Before purchasing do your own research on Blackberry’s website. There you can select the carrier that you have and find out what phones Blackberry is currently making for that carrier. Good luck and happy bidding.
Very good phone. battery life is pretty good. Charge every night if you use your phone constantly, every other night if used moderately. If you are a social network junkie and an IMer this will work very good for you. you can receive e-mails and IMs from several different accounts and stay loged into them all the time. All your Messages (e-mail, IM, text, MMS,) come in one message folder to view then in one click wich is nice. don't have to go through menus to view each one. Works really good if you run a buisness also, like a contractor for example, like I am. got an app to to create and e-mail Ms office documents like job estimates and invoices right from this phone. BBerry has TONS of apps for every kind of person for this phone. MP3 player works great. Camera works and takes good clear pics and vids. Dispite what some other people on ebay might say, THIS PHONE COMES WITH OS 5.0 and the BBerry program for your computer will update it as soon as a new one comes out. Overall operation of the phone is smooth. does everything that a touch screen phone will do except you have a keyboard and a mouse. It seems to be made pretty durable. I put mine in an otter box! 3g internet works pretty fast for a phone.(not a computer) It can take a while to load apps sometimes but only sometimes. Not alot of space for apps because apps get stored in the phones onboard memory about 120 MB and not the expandable SD card. The SD card on the other hand is 1 GB. I have 168 MP3 songs, about 40 pics, 2, 5 min. videos, and about 60 job documents and it still has a couple of MB of free space. The phone will support 2, 4, 8, and 32 GB micro SDHC cards. Never had a BBerry before but I'm starting to see what all the hype is about. Hope this helps!
I bought this phone after about a month of not having one because my BB Storm 2 got water damaged at work. I was contemplating whether to get another thru my insurance for $80 or go ahead and use my upgrade. It was a tough call because I didn't want to spend $80 for a phone that I would turn around and upgrade in the next couple of months. At the time of the incident, I didn't want to do either since I was waiting on the OS 7 BBs to release or I was going to go with an iphone 4. Long story short, this deal and phone saved me money, and held me over from choosing between a rock and a hard place since I wasn't quite ready to make that decision yet. My few dislikes are that the GPS is not supported in the best way in apps like Poynt and sometimes, my MMS msgs have to be resent a couple of times before they deliver. Other than that, everything else is a pro! I am actually still using this phone because I'm undecided on the now released OS 7 BBs and upcoming release of the iphone 5. Same loop all over again lol!
