Reviews & Research

CNET Editors' reviewExcellent

The RIM BlackBerry 8320 offers integrated Wi-Fi and works with T-Mobile's HotSpot@Home service so you can make calls via Wi-Fi. The smartphone also features a nice, sleek design; a spacious QWERTY keyboard; a 2-megapixel camera; popular IM clients; and good call quality.

The Curve's camera can't record videos, and there's no 3G support. The BlackBerry Web browser isn't quite as sophisticated as those on competing smartphones.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve (aka BlackBerry 8320) for T-Mobile is the best BlackBerry we've seen to date as it offers Wi-Fi, best-of-breed design, and excellent performance.

Rim Blackberry Curve 8320 this is where the goodies of Blackberry comes a live. First I can say that I was a little static on buying Blackberry's and thoses days where all is touch screen and gadgets, but I was in need of UMA/ WIFI phone, cuz I move to a region where T-mobile signal is very poor to none signal so I called T-mobile and they told me that I can cancel my contract at any time or get a new phones with this gadget, but I have to make another 2 yrs contract so I said to then that I was going to think it over. So I when and star browsing it on Ebay which I foung and purchases this Blackberry Curve 8320. Let me finish on saying that this is the best phone I ever have, for the price and all the the things I can do with it. Not only can lisent to my music and read all files from any type of music files, video, docs, and even a bunch of web-sites with different free themes and applications that you can download for free to make this little thing perfect and unike for you. Well now I recived a new touch screen phone for gift from my beutifull wife that have new thing called Wifi calls not UMA but still you can makes calls and text thrue it too and she told me well now you can sell this old little thing, and I look at her and told her; are you crazy woman this old little thing die with me this phone I got it for $60 on Ebay I had put a new housing of my prefferent I make it my own living style the way I realy am plus can do wherever this one do maybe alittle slower but still I'll keep both of then. She smile and told me wow it realy got you ah and I said belive me babe once you try it you never live it.

Was a smartphone wonder- way ahead of its time!

I enjoyed every moment of this phone. The web browsing experience, app downloading, facebooking all of that, it all works well on the phone. It was a good phone back then, but now I see DROID and iPhone getting really good technologically wise. i really did like this phone though

worked well, and had good options
good camera
call quality never failed
QWERTY keyboard

The battery died really fast when I owned and used this phone, which really I loved, and still do love. I cant think of any issues that are on this pone minus the battery

Best phone I ever had, and I've gone through a lot....

I've had a fair share of phones, from the T-mobile Dash, Shadow, LG Incite, touch screen, Windows Mobile, but the Blackberry has been my favorite. Before the Curve, the first Blackberry I owned was the Blackberry 8820. Although it lacked a camera, it had everything I needed including wifi. A lot of people wonder why someone would purchase a Blackberry without a data plan, but a Blackberry with wifi is better than any other phone I have used. I had a touchscreen phone once and absolutely hated it. The curve keyboard allows me to text fast and love doing it! the LG Incite would always cause me to type mistakes and miss keys and would make me so angry I just wanted to smash it. The Blackberry Curve has such a sleek design, a camera built with flash, and it is just very attractive and I can never take my hands off of it. Seeing that red light flash, responding back to text messages without one typo.. it's amazing stuff.

Best phone I have ever owned. Once I'm not poor, I'll purchase a data plan and an upgraded Blackberry. but so far, absolutely NO complaints!

blackberrry 8320...pleased !

This is my first blackberry cellphone. The main reasons why I purchased this module over others was because it has WiFi access & I wanted to see what all the "hype" of blackberry ownership was about. I was a little concerned because others indicated that the keys on the keypad where not big enough to prevent inadvertently typing the wrong keys and causing spelling errors. It's taken me awhile to make the purchase since the price of blackberry phones can be a little costly, I didn't want to make the investment and be disappointed. I guess it's all up to each individual user. I'm really enjoying the ease of using the keypad, the ability to download different apps, and the ability to access my email and use the web with/without the blackberry service via wi-fi at home and at various hotspots.

There is so much to learn about the functionality of a blackberry that I know it will take me some time to learn it all. But I would recommend that others get a phone with more available memory so that they can add as many apps as they want without fear of running out of memory. So far, so good...I think the purchase was a good one.
