weak camera, great style, amazing service.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

i personally love blackberrys, and this is the best blackberry you can buy right now, although there arent many apps, the few apps available work great. the only things i dont like: battery life isnt the best, but better than my old htc evo, camera is weak, but can still take alright pictures (nothing compared to my HTC EVO's 8 mega pixels) and when the battery gets to about 5 %, the antenna turns off. however, my old htc was roaming in my living room, the berry gets a least 2 bars, much better. but the look of the phone the awesome feel of the phone, and touch screen and GREAT keyboard combo make you stand out in a world full of iphone and android users. ive already influenced one on my best friends to join team blackberry

Efficiency, reliability. worldwide recognized data security. A must have!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

For the type of person that manages your working and most importantly your personal life with your smartphone, this is one of the finest devices you can ever own. It is not designed for playing video games, but its spec'd enough to handle nearly any level of media consumption, and being BlackBerry, with worldwide recognition for being among the most secure platforms for your data, you know you can rely it to safely and effectively manage your most truly important responsibilities and needs. In an age where digital crime is becoming so commonplace, security of your personal data, or your personal life, becomes more paramount than ever. This device is not designed for the type of user whose primary smartphone usage revolves around entertainment and "fun", it is for managing, for executing, for handling life's responsibilities, for unparalleled communication capabilities, and possibly to become your best friend. If you sound like the kind of user this device can appeal to, you will not be disappointed in the slightest, and with it's amazing design it is sleek, thin, perfectly portable, and a pleasure to carry everywhere you go. Combine this with installing the applications you need to carry out your needs, and exercise the vast possibilities of personalization to make it "yours" (even to the point of drastically re-imagining the very interface itself thru it's theming capability), you will wonder how you ever considered anything else.

If you're a BlackBerry lover, hold out for another 6-8 months for the QNX.

No, I would not recommend this product.

The bottom line is, if you're a BlackBerry lover, and have been packing something like the BlackBerry Bold 9780 for this long already, you can probably hold out for another 6-8 months for the first QNX BlackBerry, which will be running an operating system much more likely to be supported in the long haul. There is a bit of a gamble there, though; if the PlayBook has shown us anything, it's that the platform has a lot of function gaps to fill, and if they aren't ready in time for the QNX smartphone launch, then the Bold 9900/9930 may be more functional for the immediate future. While I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the BlackBerry 9900/9930 to get an upgrade to the new OS, the rumour that RIM's first QNX handset is using a single core processor and thus not dependent on a dual-core processor offers some hope for backwards compatibility.

Between the loss of features like autofocus on the camera, the failure to include functions as advertised like NFC, the conspicuous absence of expected features like mobile hotspot, missing consumer electronics industry standards like DLNA home media sharing, and falling behind in old standards like battery life, I'm finding it hard to recommend the new BlackBerry Bold. The fact that the 9900/9930 is smooth and responsive isn't a feature, no matter what trademarked name RIM gives their rendering engine; it's what BlackBerry should have been all along. Augmented reality and voice-activated universal search are both nice touches, but as far as I can tell, these are the only real new tricks the Bold 9900/9930 brings to the table.  I've yet to really dive in to the the Torch 9810 or 9850, but I fear they're going to be more of the same.

The feel of the device is great though, and that can't be denied. The screen is sharper than ever, and extremely responsive. For BlackBerry diehards that want a big honkin' keyboard in a slim package, the Bold 9900 will fit the bill so long as they're willing to pay a premium up-front for the device cost at launch. With a bit of patience, I'm sure that $250 pricetag will get knocked down a hundred bucks. For anyone looking for something game-changing (or at least competitive) from RIM,  you'll have to wait until the first QNX phones hit the market.

Solid, gorgeous and will serve the working horse well.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I am a diehard Crackberry addict. I bought the 9900 to replace my 9780. I love the new OS 7 - faster web browsing, touch screen, larger display which is crystal clear.. The keyboard is so easy to use. I am actually typing this review on my Playbook using the 9900's keyboard thru bridge. I miss having two convenience keys and flash player. The camera is fine except for close ups. There is no shutter delay. The 9780 had a better camera. This is a gorgeous phone too. I love Blackberrys for the solid email and texting capabilities. I have all of my music on my phone taking advantage of the expandable memory. Bluetooth and Wifi work flawlessly as well as the Hotspot feature.. This device has a pretty decent app store. I would wait until the new OS 10 phones come out end of the year but if you had to purchase the 9900, you will be happy. Price is steep which is why there is no 5 stars. Solid phone, well organized, gorgeous and much improved.

Bold Over Audacious

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I have had the Blackberry Bold 9930 since its premier. I am a fan of the trackball but the trackpad is something I have adapted to liking. This is by far the best Blackberry RIM has devised. A couple things I would suggest are better camera although 5.0MP is fantastic as well as possible 4G on a BB device; I dont know what they are waiting for. Its great to have a global-ready phone although I never leave the US but who knows. I have only had one issue and that is with the first Bold I had. I experienced a call issue where I place a call and I can not hear a ring and the one I am calling can not be heard on either side. I am on my second Bold and it is just flawless so maybe an upgrade fixed the issue. I would like to see possibly a bigger screen but if I wanted that I could of just went to HTC. The bright LCD is so vibrant and clear it is beyond perfect. The touch is new to me for BB considering I never liked the Storm but I havent had too many complaints with it yet. Overall, I would recommend this device to a business user or someone who heavily emails as it is a very convenient all-in-one device in the palm of your hands. Get one or two or ten!!!! Be more than audacious! Be BOLD!
