Well, this is an old model so I can not expect it to work like the new models now. One thing that really surprises me is that on this model, you actually have to set the time and date. Unlike other cellphones, even those that are about as old as this model, it automatically sets the time and date in fact you don't have a way to change it. I remember my first flip phone samsung in 2003, there is no way to set the time and date because the cellphone automatically sets it. I don't know if it is because this is a GSM phone or what. But as I use it everyday, I am discovering a lot of good functions and uses of this Blackberry 8800. and oh, there is no camera on this unit. But for the price that I got it, $50.00, what the heck?
This phone is really great for business and for personal use. Keboard feels good in hand.. . Great for Mp3 since it gives you a room to use a micro SD card. all you need is headphone for blackberry 8800 you can find it on ebay. Great phone for applications. facebook works great on it too.. :)
This phone as good as 8800. it comes with great keyboard aand it feels good in hand. great for businesss or personal use. It got a really great mp3 player. and the ability to add and extra micro SD for storage. the only thing is that it does not have WiFi like the blackberry 8820 or 8830 world Edition.

After my Blackberry Pearl "died" on me...i switched to the Pantech Matrix. Even tho i do text quite a bit..i wasn't as impressed with the Matrix and missed my Blackberry...just been using this one a couple of days and so far so good...my two biggest "problems" with it: No camera! (my fault for not looking at the description closer) and you can't disable the password protection (but it's a used phone..not all have had this done to them).overall...pretty happy with my purchase...think i may still "cruise" ebay looking for a great deal on a Blackberry Curve...but def. sticking with the Blackberry!
