I needed a new cordless drill, used to have a 12 volt FireStorm multi tool set. I LOVE my Black & Decker FireStorm. It has a lot of power and different torque settings. Better than any other Cordless Drills.
Originally I bought this to replace a standard FireStorm 18v drill/driver. What I will be using it for is to help drill 70+ anchor bolts (to a 6" depth) for the FutureSteel building I've purchased. It also works well drilling starter holes in RR ties.
I would like there to be "cheater" slide battery adapter to plug the drill into 120v AC, it sucks dry 18v extreme battery packs within minutes (while drilling hardened concrete to 6" depth and RR ties)
I had never owned a hammer drill, I always borrowed or rented one for those few occasions that I needed to drill into masonry products. Recently I needed to drill 14 holes into concrete and since I had already converted all of my power tools to Black & Decker 18v battery packs, I decided to search online for a 18v B&D hammer drill. I found this model on ebay, the price was right and when I received it, I put it to work on those 14 holes. It drilled each hole with ease and I have no regrets purchasing this product.
Great drill for every use... 2 speeds... plenty of power..
hammer drill for concrete drilling... all metal 1/2 inch chuck not 3/8 like most are...handy bit storage on top of drill. I bought this to replace one that had the smaller chuck single speed and no hammer drill... what a differnce.
I purchased this cordless hammer drill to add decorative trim on a brick fence around a swimming pool. It is a strong drill, and I was able to complete the job with one of the two batteries that were included (about 40 holes).
Later in the month, I needed to drill through 8 inches of hardened concrete beneath my workshop into my cellar (to install a light and outlet). This little job did exhaust the first battery, but the job was quickly finished when I put the fresh battery into the drill.
Everyone should have a hammer drill for these types of jobs.
