The Belkin Router is very simple to set up your own wireless network with. You have step by step quick reference and then the Setup CD walks you through easily. Basically a no brainer operation. I own a D-Link G router and they no longer support it so I decided to up date it. I heard quite a bit on Belkin Routers and decided to try one. I was surprised how easliy it excepted my previous setup and was back on line with in no time at all. I checked the out put and found that my wireless computer connection was faster than my old router. You can't go wrong in choosing this Router.
I was skeptical about getting this router, as I'm not an expert in networking but I was able to set it up with wireless security on my home network with several computers and an xbox 360 connected to it successfully. Has been very quick with no dropped connections. Definitely worth buying here rather than from a big retailer.
I have been using this router for over 2 years without any issues. Comparing this 802.11n Belkin router with my other brands that I have used, I rank this router one of the best for the price. The range of 300-350+ feet is great. Practically works in different environments without losing signal or needing booster between buildings.
Hints: running a cooling fan near this router & the modem as well as connecting them to UPS (Backup power) keep them running without issues. Not sure how long components will last; life cycle of 5 to 10 years! I have not tested the new Belkin N+ router yet & may not need to change it.
The Belkin Wireless Router is great and now I get my wireless connections really fast compared to my 54 mbps. It is small and it does not take much room. Great product.
It was easy to setup, works very well, the speed is outstanding. The range is excellent. I've had no problems with the router, either wireless or using it as a wired network. I'm running it both ways as I type this review.
