This is a good cheap mic that can work in any home studio. Even though there are better mics, if you are just starting out you should start out with this one. I bought this mic also because of my friend. He has this mic so i was influenced by his decision. I bought this because of my love to record music. i looked for the best mic for the price. There is no need to buy a $1000 mic until you actually have enough money pouring in. I am an aspiring professional looking to make a career out of this. This mic makes your vocals sound smooth, warm and flawless. So, if your looking to become a professional, just trying things out, or just want this as a hobby, be sure to include the Behringer C1 Condenser Cable Microphone in your studio!
This is one of my favorite microphones with regards to utility. I am an acoustic/vocal performing artist always wanting to enhance the quality of my sonic performance. It is difficult to get the enhanced vocal sound of a large diaphragm studio mic in a live environment without feedback at a low to modest gain setting This one does a pretty good job of straddling that fence. In live use I have a higher vocal presence with richer mid and lower end response. It might look like a throwback to a radio broadcast in use, but this is out-weighed by sweeter vocals in my opinion.
I own several Behringer products and the latest is the C-1 condenser microphone.
For it's extremely low price, the microphone has very solid build and offers crisp, clear sound which competes with high-end professional equipment.
The same goes for all other products they make - including mixers and amps.
Great Quality/Value. I was a professional broadcaster for many years and I would compare the quality of sound with a Sure SM7B. As with all condensor mics you need to take extra care so as to not damage the mic.
