Bad company 2 is not great, not bad, it's ok, upgrade??

The best part of this game is the new Squad Mode in MultiPlayer! The graphics aren't much of a step up from the previous bad company release. How ever the game play and bullet trajectory is much better. The maps are Nice, but a bit small in Squad mode. I haven't much gotten into the Campaign yet, as I got it for the Multi player. COD modern warfare 2 is still the Prettiest with the best overall gameplay for FPS on the market for PS3. This Game BC2 has great Gameplay, and the New Building destruction has been taken to the next level, the buildings will give in under the damage and you will here a voice say this thing is coming down, and you gotta run out of the building in multi player before it collapses, kinda cool. There is excessive swearing from the In game voice, and that's coming from somebody who throws around the F bomb while playing the game like grenades, And i still find my self trying to keep up with the stream of vulgarities coming from the Game it self, and we aren't talking the other players. Over all I give it 7/10, If i hadn't played the previous one and wasn't constantly comparing it to COD MWF2 in my head i would give it a 8.5/10 It's a Good game, they didn't fix the side step while sprinting control though, and still no Prone. Also offers A different class/weapon select screen, and a Join squad feature in other On line Game Modes like Rush, or conquest. So far I'm holding out for some Good maps in there first map release to save this Multi player platform. Glad I only paid $45 for my NIB copy off Ebay and not $65 from the store Or i'd be a bit Pissed off about the Graphics looking Like a Nintendo 64 game with a 720p processor. Oh well, Still a Fun game to play when COD gets boring, like it always does. I love Bad company two for the Sniper aspect, it's a way more realistic shooter for those who prefer sniping, and the maps offer a lot of good nooks and ledges.

    Best FPS on the market

I've tried Call of Duty, Homefront, Modern Warfare, Black Ops, and other Battlefield games, and nothing compares to the immersive gameplay and interactive environments of this game.

No other game has the co-operative squad-centric, objective-based matches that Bad Company 2 can create. Even more so, when you turn on your mic and communicate with your squad.

Unlike Call of Duty and Homefront, guns act more realistic in BC2. you don't feel like you are running around a rat maze firing lasers.

If you find yourself backagainst a wall, fear not, use an explosive weapon and make a door where once there was only a wall.

See that sniper hiding in that tower way up there on the hill? No problem. The tower is completely destructible and will collapse (killing the sniper in destruction).

See someone run into a building and don't want to chase them inside? No problem. Place C4 charges around the walls and bring that building down.

The software developer, DICE, did an amazing job with Destruction 2.0 in this game. The environment is actually the 25th player in the game. Just about anything you see can be destroyed. You can use this to your advantage by making a divot in the ground and then placing a landmine in the hole, making your mines harder for enemy vehicles to spot.

... oh, I almost forgot, the vehicles! Whether its a quad, a UAV, a boat, a helicopter, or an M1A1 Abrams or a soviet Tiger Tank, you'll find unique challenges in vehicles -- and will find yourself cursing them when you are unable to hit that circling Apache with your RPG-7....

The "vanilla" version of the game permits you to press your "SELECT" button when you see an enemy that will "spot" that enemy for the rest of your team to see. If you don't kill them, but your squad or teammates do, you get points for assisting. If you find this to be too elementary for your game-style, the spotting mechanics are hidden in the "hardcore mode" though.

At the end of 2010, DICE released an expansion product for $15 that used the same base-models, but puts your team in The 'Nam. Firefights in Vietnam use era-specific weaponry, and are more close-quarters due to the density of the jungles and narrow maps.

All in all, this is a great, well-rounded game with several game modes to choose from. You have the Squad Deathmatch games for the Call of Duty recruits getting their feet wet. There's a "capture the flag" mode call Conquest, and the genre-defining "Rush" mode that pits your team against the other team in an attempt to defend (or destroy) sets of two communications stations. You have to play it to believe it! (All of these modes are available in the Vietnam expansion pack as well)

I have been looking for a substitute to this game, but there just is not a suitable replacement out there on the market. I was holding off re-purchasing this game due to the recent release of THQ's Homefront, but was deeply disappointed in the gameplay and lack of environmental interaction of the THQ release.

Whether you are a aged veteran to the Battlefield, or a newcomer to the genre, look no further than Battlefield:Bad Company 2. Accept no imitations.

The only people who aren't going to like this game are the Treyarch diehard fans who won't give it a chance. If you rent it, you will buy it. Save yourself the rental expense, and buy this game. Preferably with the "VIP code" so that you have access to all of the maps.

An absolutely GREAT game, not for everybody, but Greatness.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Okay, just to get something out of the way, i will make this review based completely on my sole experience with this game. None of Mw2 does this, battlefield cant do that, this is so much better then blah blah blah. No annoying fanboy hate. Seriously, they are ALL fun, all games can coexist together. That being said, here is my review.

Bottom line is, This game is absolutely amazing, but not for everybody.I'll start with a list of the pros, then cons, and then both pros and cons.

    Pros
    - This game looks Absolutely fantastic, I am not the type of gamer who judges a game based on graphics, nor really cares to much about them, but i NEED to state thats this game looks absolutely phenomenal! Destruction is great, models look as real as modern graphics can get, and everythins just feels great. Some of these maps are HUGE, yet i can still spot moving players from far across the map. Other than connection hiccups, i have had NO lag when fights get nasty.
    - This game also sounds GREAT! When your inside a house, it sounds like your shooting in a house, when something explodes, you go slightly deaf for a moment, when soldiers yell close, they sound close, when theyre far away, they sound far away. Absolutely AMAZING and adds alot to the overall immersion.

    Pros and Cons
    - Camapign has alot less humor than the first title. Anyones who has played the campaign of both battlefield bad companies will know right from the begginning that alot of the humorous fussing between squad mates has been removed, not only that, but they actually seem alot more serious. This is a pro for people whod rather have a more serious tone to their war games, and found the bickering between squad mates annoying. For me however, i found it quite enjoyable and found a ssnse of closeness betweeen bad company.
    - Maps are HUGE! Okay, this is a relatively make or break factor for many people. If you enjoy alot of close range combat, you'll find that you are quite limited to close range combat maps. That being said, their are many close range areas on a map, but they are not accessiple without first spawning and running to it. And even if you do reach it, whether or not youl find enemies is still unknown since the map is so huge.
    - This is an opinion, which is why its a pro or con, But i found that thier are no cheap deaths in this game, no camping, etc. If a guy stays in place and takes out alot of enemies, he'll be done for if he doesnt move. If you die, i usually found it was becasue i did something wrong, not becasue i was cheated. And if i was cheated, retribution is easy and swift.
    - Team based gameplay, i know alot of people enjoy lone wolf gameplay, but the key to multiplayer is teamwork. A bad team stands absolutely no chance against a team with great teamwork. This may seem like a con since you have no idea if youl get a good team or not, but win or lose, the game is still fun.
    - I personally find all classes evenly matched. Again, an opinion, but no class is invinsible, and all take skill.
    - Campaign is great! Alot more linear then the first, but very fun with a decent story and loveable characters.

    - Cons
-A few occasional technical hiccups, no real biggie.
    - a Team of camping medics will be a real pain in the ass!
    - Unnecessary cursing, their was no real good reason to slap on a M rating just to add bad language. Sure, people in real military curse, but i always thought battlefield as a clean T rated game.

    Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ( PC )

There is no shortage of online destinations for those who enjoy first-person gun-wielding combat, but no matter how many opportunities you get to shoot another player in the face, there is always room for one more. Especially when that one more is as exciting and intense as Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The online multiplayer in this modern military shooter is a standout, featuring huge maps, incredible destructibility, powerful vehicles, and excellent sound design. These elements combine to foster the sense that you are fighting on an actual battlefield, making many other online shooters seem more like combat arenas than believable war zones. Multiplayer battles are invigorating and addictive, but they aren't all that Bad Company 2 has to offer. The sizable campaign takes you to beautiful and exotic locations where you'll be sorely tempted to take a break from shooting bad guys and blowing things up to admire the scenery. Your hilarious and endearing squadmates are great companions, giving the campaign a rich sense of character not often found in the genre. The result is a very entertaining adventure that, coupled with the excellent multiplayer and top-notch technical presentation, makes Battlefield: Bad Company 2 something special in the world of shooters.

The beginning of Bad Company's second tour finds Sarge, Marlowe, Sweetwater, and Haggard stationed in a wintery valley, supposedly serving out Sarge's last tour of duty. Lofty mountains loom high against the bright blue sky as you sneak your way between snow-laden trees and out across a frozen river. As you infiltrate a small village, the snow muffles the sound of your footfalls, and when a firefight breaks out, your ears ring from the concussion of nearby explosives. One daring escape later, you're dropped into the Bolivian jungle, where mosquitoes whine in your ear as you walk in the dappled light of the jungle floor. Gunfire doesn't echo very far in the forest, but beneath the corrugated tin roof of a logging outpost, each bullet is a cacophony unto itself. This vivid, engaging world is a testament to Bad Company 2's remarkable technical presentation. The stunning landscapes are matched by the diverse, intriguing terrain in both rural and urban environments. The excellent sound design further enriches your sense of place, and each gunshot, footstep, and exclamation fuels your battlefield awareness and informs your tactical decisions. Though there are some blurry textures, occasional screen tearing, and awkward moments caused by the pervasive environmental destructibility, these are mere blemishes on the ambitious look and immersive sound of Bad Company 2.

Of course, just because the scenery is great doesn't stop you from wanting to blow it up. Trees, barricades, vehicles, buildings, and bridges all splinter and break apart when exposed to gunfire or explosives. Not only is it immensely fun to destroy things, but it's crucial to your survival and success. Say... there's a sniper perched in a tower covering your approach. You can try to pick him off without exposing yourself, or you can bust out your underbarrel grenade launcher and blow the platform to smithereens. The explosion showers debris in a realistic and satisfying way, and the sniper is taken care of. Destruction is a double-edged sword, however, as you'll learn the first time that the window you are shooting out of explodes and becomes a gaping hole through.

    Awesome Game

I love Battlefield first off because it is very realistic and challenging. This Game is similar to Call of Duty in many ways except it is much more realistic. I love how you can destroy buildings and you constantly have to move around. The story is very intriguing and is very long. Once again you will battle Russia, but this is not like COD. You are on a mission to find a deadly new weapon that was built many years ago by Japan and now Russia has finished it and plans on using it on the US. The multiplayer is also something new to which I find very interesting. The multiplayer requires a lot more skill then COD because when you are sniping you have to put gravity in to thought when your about to shoot. I also love how there are realistic perks that actually make sense unlike COD. Overall this is a very good game that should take up a chunk of your time and if you like this game I highly recommend checking out Medal of Honor because it is based on the war on terrorism taking place today
