One of the most inspiing of John Wayne's war classics this movie also show cases the talents of the great Antony Quinn as the rebal leader of the Philippe resistance. The movie portrays the struggle of the allied forces to retake the Philippines from the occupation of the Imperial Japanese. While this movie has lots of gritty action it also has many heart wrenching moments as it realistically portrays the brutal treatment of the Phlippino people at the hands of the Imperial Japanese.
This movie is highly recommended for any collector and it's a great classic for anyone looking for a movie that will keep you glued to your seat.
This is a two sided dvd bataan and back to bataan. The bataan side is very poor it skips freezes and then stops playing. Back to bataan seems to be ok so it is not my player having a problem!
The quality on these two classic WWII movies are excellent.It was watching them for the first time. The best double feature around.
