|This is the revised and enlarged edition of a new kind of introduction to economics for the general public-without graphs, statistics, or jargon. In addition to being updated, Basic Economics has also become more internationalized by including economic problems from more countries around the world, because the basic principles of economics are not confined by national borders. While most chapter titles remain the same, their contents have changed considerably, reflecting the experiences of many different peoples and cultures.|

Thomas Sowell has made a very complicated subject both clear and interesting to the non-economist. I wish every voter in the world would read this book so they will have a better understanding of the impacts of government decisions as they relate to market economies and the well being of us all. I bought this book after first reading a library copy because I want to have it in my library.
thanks so much. i love thomas sowell's writings. makes me regret not majoring in economics. thanks again.
book was as described, service quick, great price. I have observed the ignorance in the American people concerning economics. Tom sowell's book is aimed at the average person so is easily readible and informative. Most Americans hae no conception of economics so our schools are not teaching this science. This book or an equivalent should be read by all.
Anyone can read and understand this book. It is a GREAT source for every citizen to understand how American's capitalist system works. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to read this very easy to read masterpiece.
This book provides the clear thinking and insight that is so lacking both in education and politics. This is a must read for anyone at or above the high school level.
