Natural looking skin!

Bare minerals foundation is unlike any other foundation. You feel like you are not wearing any makeup. I wear it while I work out; it stays on all day. And more importantly, it's good for your skin. At 47 yrs old, I've been told I look like I am 31. I'll never go back to over the counter foundations!

Wouldn't consider anything else!!

I did not start using foundation until I was 24 years old (I am going on 26 now), simply because I always though it looked unattractive on people. The unattractive part was the lines across their chins, the thick looking mask on their face, etc. After stepping into a Bare Escentuals shop and applying the bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation, my whole perspective on foundation changed.... I feel in love. It's so light, I forget I am even wearing it, and it covers everything. Even my dark circles under my eyes. I will use bareMinerals, and only bareMinerals until the world runs out of it :-).

Best makeup ever!

I've been using Bare Escentuals BareMinerals for many, many years now and it is by far the best makeup I have ever used! Amazing coverage but yet, light and natural-looking. You don't looke 'made up'; your skin just looks wonderful! I am very fair so I mix Light with Fair to get a match for my tone. Then I finish it with Mineral Veil. Don't be fooled by wannabe mineral makeup! Go with Bare Escentuals!

Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation MATTE

This is my first review EVER, so I decided to throw in my "two cents." I switched from Urban Decay Cream-To-Powder to BareMinerals Matte, and it really is so much better. I no longer have any acne; it's such a relief to finally feel like I don't have a layer of gunk all over my face. It clogged my pores which gave me hideous acne and so much oil that I looked like I had run a marathon 24/7. The cover of the BareMinerals is really natural (just make sure you apply it little by little), and I definitely have less oil with this Matte. I have a LOT of oil on my face, and I'm not exaggerating in the least, so for a product to diminish the oil as much as this does, it's almost miraculous. I won't ever switch to anything else. As for coverage, it's pretty good, but you can't put too much in one spot or it'll look cakey. Overall, it's an excellent product, and certainly worth a try if you're someone who has to battle a LOT of face oil like me, lol.

You, only better

This makeup is wonderful, and I am a complete convert. It blurs fine lines, pores and discolouration without caking or turning into a mask. It can withstand a workout without running or feeling heavy. It looks like your own skin, even in natural light, and does not migrate or change colour during the day. Definitely looks best when topped with a dusting of mineral veil, but can be worn alone.

A couple of caveats:
- try a variety of shades in a sampler/kit before committing to a large size, as even one shade difference (in my case, from fair to fairly light) can make you look either ghostly or great
- use very lightly and build up where needed, as it can settle into expression lines around the mouth and eyes if you are too heavy-handed
- make sure you've exfoliated first, as it can show up dry skin patches

I wholeheartedly recommend this product.
