Movie synopsis
In Disney's spectacularly animated forest fable, a fawn named Bambi is born, destined to become "Prince of the Forest." He soon befriends other woodland creatures such as Flower, a bashful skunk, and Thumper, an outgoing rabbit. As the years pass, they encounter a number of life's lessons in the woods, including the death of Bambi's mother at the hands of hunters. Eventually, Bambi comes of age, completing the cycle of life and taking his father's place.Based on the classic novel by Felix Salten, BAMBI demonstrates the strength of family values and camaraderie. Director David Hand adds a mixture of great songs and life-like backgrounds to make this early Disney film an unforgettable film classic for all ages.

Great film, package OK after Disney mistakes

Who does not love this film?

Nearly 70 years old, the film is still great and beautiful. Film makers of today can take note of actually having a story for the animated animal characters instead of just moving the place they are in.

Thumper is my favorite character of the film.

The memorable scenes, the spoiler scene, Thumper and Bambi on the ice. The characters

As for the DVD package. I have made this remark now with the 2009 Snow White and 2010 Beauty and the Beast reissues on DVD. The pushing of blu/ray the newer MORE EXPENSIVE format I hope back fires on Disney. With this Bambi release, as they did with the Snow White and Beauty and the Beast issues DISNEY RELEASED THE BLU/RAY MORE THAN A MONTH BEFORE THE REGULAR DVD PACKAGE. I can NOT afford blu/ray, I really can NOT afford this package BUT I came up with the money. Pushing 1 format over the older & still works format is a huge mistake Disney. To learn your lesson, I hope sales were hurt. Just like Disney Rewards ONLY GIVING COUPONS FOR BLU/RAY.

Good extras in the package. Normal one, we have seen these type before. I do enjoy Making Of segments.

Any fan of the film will enjoy this DVD package AFTER YOU GET OVER DISNEY & HOW THEY ARE RELEASING OR RE-RELEASING SOME OF THEIR FILMS.

5 rating for the film NOT for how Disney re-released it to DVD.

I remember Bambi from when I was a young girl . My children grew up watching this also. My youngest has been looking for a copy for her collection. The story is a great one and teaches though we may be different we can still be friends. There are some happy and sad moments in the movie but over all this is one of Disney's best in my opinion. I would recommend this movie for children of all ages. :)

I was very well satisfied with this product, my younger sister is starting a collection of the Disney classics, this is one of the most memorable films of a child's life, i love it that it is a dvd compared to vhs, and i know it will last for many years to come.

excellent quality...2 yo granddaughter loves it, as does her mom. it is nice to see the young ones today fall in love with the movies we loved as a chld. =)

I loved Bambi as a child and now all my grandchilden can experience the same joy that I experienced. Excellent movie for all ages. My grown children still enjoy this movie. A movie that will never outgrow the children, and their children.
