Description is incorrect -- not same as Xbox/Wii/PS3

I bought this game thinking it was the PC version of the Xbox game. The description for it made it seem so, and the box art is the same. But when I got it in the mail I was surprised to see stuff about the Blue Spirit on the back, because that's not in the Xbox game. The graphics on the back looked good though, and I was excited, thinking I had found some unknown Avatar gem.

I can see why I'd never heard of the game before; it is totally disappointing. It covers the events of Book 1: Water, which could have been really cool, but the game is way too simple, short, and repetitive, and seems designed for little kids. Plus for some reason it runs slower than the full 3-D combat games I've got, though the environment is just a 2-D image.

It does have some novel attributes that I enjoyed that aren't in the console game: being able to ride on the air scooter, arial combat sections on Appa (space invader style), and having to clear Aang's mind during meditation so he can learn/remember a new move. Interestingly enough, full 3-D arial combat on Appa has been implemented into the Avatar: Burning Earth game that just came out. At least they're learning.

So unless you've got a smokin' fast computer for your 6 year old, or are a die-hard Avatar merchandise collector, stay away from this.

Great game for young Avatar fans

I bought this game for my six year old son who loves the Avatar TV show, and he loves the game, too. The on-screen characters instruct the player how to use the different features, so you don't have to access any help screens or read the instructions, and the words are both written on the screen and come across the speakers in the TV characters' voices -- great for a kid just learning to read. There is not much violence, and no gore that I've seen. If you let your kids watch the show, the game will be fine. Much like the other reviews say, this game is made for young kids. If you're used to complex video games, this is not for you.

Bad Adaption

Avatar fans, don't get sucked in...This is possible the worst game ever made. I doubt it would even be fun for a child who was a fan of the series. Nick's free Avatar games online are much more entertaining for no cost at all.

Great for kids, not for the rest of us.

I was suckered into buying this game since I am a fan of the show. This game is very juvenile. There's no skill required at all. This game is great for kids, but if you're over 12 don't bother. The graphics are what keeps this from being a one star rating.

This game is a deception

Maybe this game should be only for kids, it remembers me the games from the Atari console, but with the ambient of the Avatar serie. I like very much the serie, but the games I give it a F grade =S
