It is one of the best investments I've made in a long time.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

When I was looking to upgrade the router that I had for 4 years, I searched from reviews, and looked up some prices. I was used to buying the 50 - 65.00 from office depot or one of the other brick and mortar stores, which ever they had on sale. So looking into a router that lists close to 200.00 I was thinking I was a little crazy and add the fact that this is not from a the standard companies you think of, Dlink, Linksys, Cisco, Netgear to name a few. I was ready to have my-self committed.

Boy was I wrong, Not only was installation a breeze (it took me more time to unpack and assemble than it did to configure).
The speed I get through my home averages 180Mb on Wireless ( am contemplating spending the money for the cards that can achieve the higher speeds than the N standard card in my laptop , The feature set is fantastic, the VPN setup so I can connect to my home network was simple. The parental control feature my kids hate, I now can control when they can access the internet and when they can't, this allows me to control their laptops, tablets and phones with the restrictions.

The USB ports that you can share is very simple to use and works great you can also enable cloud features for data sharing and others (I haven't had the opportunity to do so yet, but if they work like everything else it should be very simple to use.

The only downer on this device is no direct SIP support if I want to run multiple SIP phones from my home, I don't know if this is a feature the ASUS is planning to bring to this router, but I do know it is a software limitation, some 3rd party code for this router does list sip support, since for me this is not a big feature, I don't have an issue.

For the Price I don't think you can do better, The performance is better than any router I ever had, the flexibility the changeable external antennas provide will allow you to change out the standard antennas which provide good range with more powerful once that will provide a very high output and perhaps allow you to connect several homes away.

This is a top shelf, full featured product that is highly recommended

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

After seven years of faithful service, gaming and streaming video finally pushed my Linksys WRT54G over the edge and it was time to find a replacement. I have 9 wireless and 3 hardwired devices on my home network, so I need something that can take a pounding and be reliable. Asus was not the first brand that came to mind when I started researching a new wireless router but the specs and reviews for this device made me take a close look and give it a shot.

The initial out of the box install and setup was brain dead simple. It was up and connected to the internet with the first wired device working within 5 minutes. Within 20 minutes both wireless bands were configured with security and port forwarding was completed for a couple of apps I use that need that in order to work. Signal strength for both wireless bands was strong as it came configured and both covered my entire house. There is a place in the config to adjust the signal output up or down depending on what you need for your location. I’m going to use the 5G band for video streaming/gaming and 2.4G for everything else. While I probably won’t use the network printer or external storage device functionality, it’s nice to have that ability built in if it’s needed later on. It is also a plus to be able to set up guest access to the internet if you need it without giving the guest access to your local network.

Great router

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

After a lot of research and reading reviews, I bought this one. Works flawlessly. Fast throughput, instant connectivity, good security. Setup is a breeze, taking just a couple of minutes. No problems with it at all.

Range is excellent, nearly double that of my cheap Belkin N150. Never any hassles; doesn't require constant fiddling or rebooting to keep working.

High-end consumer router with excellent range and some advanced features.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Awesome range! This router is installed in the basement of my two-family home that was built in the 20's. It covers the Whole building, even the attic! Our old router, installed on the first floor, could barely reach the second floor.

The ability to create up to 6 different wireless networks is great. We have two SSIDs set up (one for the tenant upstairs and one for us downstairs), in order to keep our devices separate.

I spent a little bit of time trying to figure out the file server feature of this router and it wasn't immediately intuitive, so I gave up. My Time Capsule from apple is much easier (plug and play), but the wireless range is nowhere near as good as this Asus.

If you're looking for a router with great range and QoS services, this is an excellent choice.

Ease of use. Excellent product. Good bang for the buck!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I first installed this at one of my customers. It blew me away. Strong signal. High speed connect rates. And the use of installation. Lemme tell you, a patient in a coma could set this up. It practically installed itself.

Actually I first found out about it whilst researching. CNET had a video review of it. The reviewer raved about it. It turns out - he was right!
