The bad: The Apple iPhone has variable call quality and lacks some basic features found in many cell phones, including stereo Bluetooth support and 3G compatibility. Integrated memory is stingy for an iPod, and you have to sync the iPhone to manage music content.
The bottom line: Despite some important missing features, a slow data network, and call quality that doesn't always deliver, the Apple iPhone sets a new benchmark for an integrated cell phone and MP3 player.
Apple Iphone its features a large touch screen and brings you the popular mac browser safari it allows you to see actual webpages and interact directly with the wwweb it has 8 GB storage and it has also an ipod allows you to easily pass any music, movies and pictures directly from your pc or mac compurer the Itunes program it very easy to oparate.
Pros,
- Full Email Access
- 8GB Storage
- Ipod
- Full browser no limit on internet access
- Touch screen
- Easy to navagate
Cons
- My screen broke the first month I had it without the phone falling
- you cannot see any information that it brough to you online with a macroplayer
- you cannot use your music as a ring tone unless you buy it from itunes and still you cannot use all of them
- the sliding side ways feture of pictures and webpages not working after 3 weeks having the phone
- prepare to add a least $20 dollars more a month to your cell phone bill
- there is no insurance for the phone just the manufactors warranty
In general I like the phone it's pleasure to use that phone But has the following drawbacks:
1-Using "push" feature will make phone drain battery and phone will get too hot from any usage.
2-Built-in caller doesn't have "T9 system" dialing features.
3-Can't run applications in background as mainly I want skype and iSip application to be always running and to see my status in the status bar near battery icon but due to iPhone OS/SDK limitation this is not implemented - too bad :(.
4-No Blue-tooth ------- Be warned -------- No Blue-tooth
5-Speaker is very low :(.
6-It's slow if you compare it to 3G and very very slow if you compare it to 3Gs.
Still phone is good as I switched off the "Push" feature and added bought a louder ring tone which is a bit louder and there is one application from cydia named "Bacgrounder" can help in running applications in background but no icon in status bar (it's lame for iPhone OS/SDK) as this will require Jailbraking and that kind of stuff.
So it seems If you want to use iPhone to achieve all your needs like having your custom ring tones and having Bluetooth your are enforced to jailbreak it.
I rated this as average because i am also a user of the itouch which is also an apple product. It is the exact same as the iphone besides the gps, phone, and texting. There is no monthly fee it is just one flat fee of $200. You get on the internet with wifi which can be reached almost anywhere. I use it al the time and would recommend it to everyone! Its a great device that gives you everything the iphone does. The iphone does give great cell service and lets you surf the internet while driving.
The iPhone is a good cell phone with fun bells and whistles. BUT... some things it won't do (and you'd think it would):
1. Play music through a Bluetooth, instead of having it wired to the headphones.
2. Record notes or messages.
3. Voice dialing.
4. Download music and videos through mainstream internet and not have to use iTunes, thus paying through the nose.
5. Download regular ringtones and use them without paying through iTunes.
I've only had my iPhone for a month now, so there might be a few other things that the phone doesn't do, that regular cell phones do.
